arginine and pycnogenol

Hey fellers, I’m getting ready to start some supplements next week and was wondering if anyone has done something similiar with good results. The supplements are aakg powder 6g a day, pycnogenol 60g day, and ginkgo daily. I will be taking flax oil and drinking pomegranate juice also. I have read arginine and pycnogenol are a killer combination for erections, anyone tried it?

Keep posting what do feel about the supplements you take sambo, I have heard of arginine a lot. It is very good for man sexuality and muscle.

L-Arginine is a mixed blessing, while it does seem to help erections it also seems to boost the release of prolactin (a hormone common in pregnant women that causes breast growth and an increased refractory period).

Start (Initially August 2008, Properly November/December 2008): 6.9x4.9

Currently (September 2010): 8.5x5.75 (6.25 inch head girth)

Please tell more.

Arginine also promotes the surfacing of herpes… so if you have a history of herpes be forewarned. If you don’t have a history, no worry.

It’s cheap and not dangerous per se (assuming you don’t have herpes), so it’s worth trying it for yourself and seeing what effect it has for you. But I’m still unsure as to whether the net effect is positive or negative in terms of sexual effects.

On the positive side it does seem to help with erections and its vasodilatory properties mean it can increase your flaccid size (opposite effect of caffeine/stimulants).

On the negative side it does release prolactin (due to its similarity to growth hormone) which may affect sex drive .

Got my supplements today but I’m concerned about the arginine I bought. It’s Higher Power AAKG powder and on the back it says not to take if you are at risk of or are being treated for high blood pressure which I am currently on medication for high blood pressure. I thought this stuff was suppose to lower blood pressure? Oh well, I might give it to a friend or my brother. Anyone with high blood pressure took this with no problems? I guess I will just take pycnogenol and ginkgo.

I take plain l-arginine and am on blood pressure meds too. I’ve never heard of a problem with this. It’s possible the potential problem could be that the AAKG would cause BP to go too low. Like the warning not to take V, L, or C if you’re on nitrates - the risk is BP that’s too low, not too high.

But I would be surprised if there was any effect either way.

If you have a BP meter, you could test it yourself.

I guess I will buy a bp meter and take the aakg and see how it goes.

I also found that Arginine made me feel angry and aggressive. Just my own anecdotal forewarning!

Recognize.

Garlic, Cayenne, and Ginger

Arginine is a solid supplement, proven.

In my new experiments with things natural, I have to say that
Raw garlic, hot cayenne pepper, and raw ginger are absolutely
Incredible. Cheap, yet very effective. Go to the store and
Pick some up, you’ll dig it. Works fast too.
