Swollen tissue or 'mass' - Advice?

Hi guys,

I haven’t had an injury before besides a couple glans blisters from the vac, but now after a particularly aggressive day of PE I have some new issue which I believe is nothing but, advice from vets who’ve had the same would be helpful.

There is a dime or nickel sized and shaped swelling on the top of my shaft mid-shaft or slightly closer to the body than mid-shaft. It appears as kind of extra squishy, swollen area beneath the skin and does not appear to be a part of the ‘inner penis’. Kind of like what it might feel like with edema but it’s not edema as there is no fluid and it’s been the same about a day now. I can still get erect and there is no pain, however it is perhaps more difficult to become erect, possibly, hard to tell right now.

Also, I think it may be very pertinent that this area is the same place I have been pointing the infrared lamp at when hanging, and at times I may let it get a little too hot but nothing where I’m in real pain, so I don’t know if there could be a connection.

Anyone that knows what this is I’d be grateful if you could share, thanks guys.

I have the same thing at the same location,sometimes it disappears but it reappears after I do my routine.We need an answer :P

Yeah the longer it stays with me the more it will worry me. I’m not currently doing PE until it goes away or I determine it’s safe, but I think it’s best not to do PE until it goes away.

Marinera, please find the pic attached, if you look close you can tell within the red circle where the raised area begins. Under this raised area basically the skin feels thicker. If it is something to do with the dorsal vein it is not evident to me, there are no blue lines etc. but perhaps it is related to that vein?

I guess it is just fluid build up. Try stretching it for some minutes, see if it subisdes.

There is only one thing to do and that is give it a little more time to heal and I really think it will. After it does, move that infrared lamp further away.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Yeah, good idea. Decent chance the IR lamp had something to do with it as it’s right where I aim it. Will give it some more time and hope for quick healing.

Marinera - I don’t know it does kind of feel like it would with extra fluid but it just doesn’t feel like there’s any fluid in there and it’s been like this 2 days now, and I have tried rubbing etc. So I’m not sure but I don’t think it’s fluid, as least not like the kind you get with edema from vac stretch or pumping.

Then it is a blister under the skin, I guess.

Well just wanted to update this thread, the swelling is about 90% gone, I still feel a tiny bit in there. The time off has been good though, blisters have healed and and some glans repairs have allowed to take place from all the edema from vac hanging and extending for so long. Nighttime wood is better. So just waiting for the all clear to go at it again. It was a little wake up call to have some extra caution before it’s too late.

I had one like that a couple of years ago that appeared after a couple of days of very intense PE. It was too firm to be purely fluid, but was soft. It didn’t move with the skin. I decided it was mild damage of the tunica, causing localised inflammation of the tissues. It reappeared every time I stressed the tissues, so I took a week or so off, then did very low stress PE, more to stimulate functional healing of those tissues than for growth, for about another 3 weeks (I don’t remember exactly). It hasn’t came back since.


Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. And the ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth.

Ok mine does move with the skin so I wasn’t worried about it being tunica related. It did appear after a very intense day of PE, a couple hours hanging with heat (only 7.5 lbs), many hours extending, and maybe around 800-1000 jelqs throughout the day. It was either the jelqs or heat that did it.
