Hey everyone, Happy New Year!

This is somewhat lengthy, so for reading I thank you!

I posted here a while back about issues with one side of my penis - the left corpora cavernosum it felt - having soreness in it. I decided I would try and rest and masturbate less. The only PE I had done before that was very very minimal and I think my masturbating was more strenuous on my member than PE and probably is what caused my pain. As a rookie I tried clamping once for maybe five minutes or so and had an increase of girth during of about 1/16th of an inch only during the clamping. I felt no immediate pain from that and my member never changed colors besides becoming a little more red during the clamping while plumped up. Maybe that combined with too much masturbation did it, though.

I started masturbating more again recently, once a day and sometimes twice. The pains which had mostly gone away have returned. I would really love to start PE and get in a good but gentle routine, but I worry starting a routine while I am having pains as they have returned so I have resolved to wait. The pains are not great and I do not feel them throughout the whole day along the left side of my penis. It comes and goes and sometimes I do not notice it at all.

It also might be worth mentioning that I have a bit of a curve that points downward and to the left. My left corpora cavernosum seems thinner, weaker and is the reason for my penis being curved, as the other side seems thicker and straighter. I think this is probably normal asymmetry.

My EQ seems as good as ever when I’m erect, and the pain might be more present when I’m flaccid it seems. It just bothers me that I feel a persistent pain at all, and especially from masturbating.

So with that being said, I have an idea of what I will do but I thought I’d run it by here in the forums since I may be able to gain valuable insight from all of your experience. My plan is as follows : I am thinking I will cease all masturbation until this pain subsides and then start a newbie routine so as to strengthen my unit and hopefully the left side especially. I originally came here to gain size, mainly girth, but the more I’ve read over the past few months, the more I’m leaning towards penile health and great EQ, and maybe the gains will just follow.
I just don’t know if the soreness is something I should never do PE with or not. The pain is not strong, just enough to be noticeable and bothersome.

As long as your EQ is good, you can’t have caused any real damage. If the discomfort comes and goes and is not constant, it may be something other than masturbating that is causing it, as if it was from masturbating once or twice a day you would expect it to be constant. Is your masturbation style particularly aggressive? If it is not, then the newbie routine will put more stress on your penis than masturbating.

I would try a gently linear newbie routine for a couple of days and see if it makes the discomfort worse or not - if it does then stop, if it doesn’t keep going at a gentle level.

Thank you, firegoat, for taking the time to reply. I feel a little relief in hearing that I haven’t caused any real damage. The only association I can make is that I have an obscure pain which goes goes my left leg also, which I suspect is due to a tightening of my sciatic nerve. I can’t, however, make a sure connection to the feeling I’m having in my member also.

I will try the linear newbie routine out then and see how that goes. Hopefully I will only have positive information to share the next time I post.

The leg pain may well be from the sciatic nerve. If you have problems around your L4/5 vertebrae or sacrum, you could potentially have some impingement of the sacral nerves too, which ‘feed’ the pudendal nerve, deep perineal nerve and the dorsal nerve of the penis. It’s also possible that you have muscular tension in your perineum (between your scrotum and anus) as that area contracts during masturbation.

The pain I feel in my leg I also feel in the lowest lumbar region which I think would be the L4/5 area. Also, now that you mentioned the perineum being tensed, that really could be the cause of the pain too. I noticed that during more frequented times of masturbation that my perineum muscles, the bulbospongiosus in particular, would actually feel soreness and fatigue recently. I believe I suffer from hard flaccid or turtling to a degree, as the only time it feels larger and spongy is before urination. Otherwise it stays a good bit thinner and the length decreases by about an inch at least in addition to the consistency remaining somewhat “cord-like.” I’ve been doing some research after reading your post and I will continue to do so.
