Plea for help

Please read this, because it could make a huge difference to my quality of life.

I have a problem, in that my superficial dorsal vein leaks a LOT of blood from the head of my penis. This vein juts out and is chord like, and when I press it down everything is fine. However, when I don’t my glans don’t engorge AT ALL…and, because of this I feel 0 pleasure…and have a hard time keeping an erection. I have had this all my life.

I have been told that if I was to embolise this vein, my problem would more then likely be solved. Problem is, noone in Australia has embolised veins in the penis before…So I can’t have anything done. Furthermore, noone has seen exactly my problem. Usually the leaking veins are the deep dorsal, and effect the whole penis. Mine is a superficial vein and it only affects the head. Nothing leaks from my shaft, the thing that kills my erections is the complete lack of pleasure I feel, because I have no blood in the head.

So…I ask of all forum members. One your next visit to your urologist, think of the depressed 18 year old in Australia…and ask if they have, or know someone who has embolised a vein in the penis. I have saved them money and am willing to travel anywhere.

Thanks

Have you tried wearing a cock ring during sex? This would compress the vein and allow normal blood trapping in the glans. Maybe you wouldn’t need surgery to enjoy sex. At least you could try it until you find a doctor to help you with our problem.

Yataghan, I feel for you man. Have you tried searching the Net?

Thanks, I do use a cock ring, and it does help A LOT. However I end up with bruises and rashes, and I don’t like the idea of using one my entire life…so I really want to get this fixed.

I have searched everything on the net, and have found solutions, and asked to have them performed…but nobody in AUS can do it. So really now I need to find someone overseas who is can. At the moment I am finding websites and trying to get in contact with people, but I usually don’t get replies

How about writing a letter to the Urologist Association in Australia and asking them to refer you to a specialist in this field outside Australia.

I believe the urologists know better than common folks who are best at doing what.

Your story is so touching Yataghan and I do feel for you and I really hope you get this problem sorted soon.

Just a thought, but there are several medical folk on the Forum, luvdadus is a doctor and westla and Sunny are in that field in some capacity as well as I recall and there was another doctor who arrived only a few months ago, perhaps one of them will spot your thread and be able to help point you in the right direction.

I’m a doctor, but not a urologist, and I wouldn’t know how to refer you to one, as this is not a procedure I have heard being done frequently; although technically, it shouldn’t be too difficult.

Have you approached vascular surgeons or interventional radiologists about embolization? Both of these specialties use intravascular, minimally invasive techniques and should be able to perform it without problem. As a physician, though, the first question I would ask is, what is your proof that this large vein is the culprit? I wouldn’t want to embolize a vein and then have you with no improvement. How was it diagnosed? I know there is indirect proof, as when you compress it, the problem improves, but did you have a Doppler or angiograhic study?

I think david9’s idea is also a good one. Doctors typically communicate well with each other. There should be someone, in one of the three specialties mentioned willing to try—particularly in one of the university hospitals where the acedemic doctors practice. It’s hard to believe that no physician in Australia or New Zealand could or would be willing to help you with this.

Let me know if I can offer any more info.

Thanks for the replies, especailly TenaciousD.

I have had tests, such as Doppler etc and they showed nothing…that is the part of the problem, and I completely understood doctors initial hesitation. However, I showed my ‘main doctor’ a photo I made, which sounds dodgy but hear me out. One is an erection with a finger very lightly pressing down on this vein, the other I am not, and the other is me pressing down with the same force, but not on the vein in the middle of the penis. The difference is astounding between when the vein is pressed, compared to nothing or pressing somewhere else. He accepted that the vein was the problem, and referred me to someone else who agreed…and would not run any more tests since I had already been subjected to 2, one very painful.

I was then sent to a guy who performs embolizations of veins in legs to embolize the vein in my penis. He said he had never done a vein in a penis, and was not sure where the chemical would go when he injected it in the penis and therefore wouldn’t do it. None of his colleagues had either. Then I asked a Urological Surgeon, and he said he knew noone in Australia who had the experience to do it either…and these guys are apparently our ‘top’ guys. So, I got an email back with the advice ‘learn to live with your problem’ with an offer of pyschological counselling to help me come to terms with it…which is nice of them…but I’m not ready to give up quite yet.

If I just had a small penis head I would accept it. The problem is, it doesn’t even get blood in there…so I literally feel no pleasure, and its terrible. Only time I feel good is when I press down in the vein to keep blood in. And it seems so simple to fix…just that nobody is willing/knows how to here…

I think that I am having a similar problem to you, only lately I have come to accept it, the head on my penis does engorge a bit , but not much at all, not like it use to. But I do have feelings still, and its still pleasurable, but I think what I have is similar to your problem, but not as bad.(because I still feel pleasure.)

I have also noticed when I press down the vein I have going down the shaft slightly to the right, it engorges up, and I have full, great quality erection, just like it used to be, It looks great, but when I release the head shrinks.

Ive seen a few penis pics, but don’t see many with this vein in the middle, Could it be the cause? that it is showing more than it should?

Also at this vein, in the middle top of my penis where the vein seem to end, the vein seem to stick out a lot and widen like a lump, when I press it it is soft, and my penis has full erection.

I am worried about this now, I didn’t really think much of this before I read this thread.

Here is something I just read.

An erection is the stiffening and rising of the penis, which occurs in the sexually aroused male, though it can also happen in non-sexual situations. The primary physiological mechanism that brings about erection is the autonomic dilation of arteries supplying blood to the penis, which allows more blood to fill the three spongy erectile tissue chambers in the penis, causing it to lengthen and stiffen. The now engorged erectile tissue presses against and constricts the veins that carry blood away from the penis. More blood enters the penis than leaves until an equilibrium is reached (equal volume of blood flowing into the dilated arteries and out of the constricted veins). A constant erectile size is achieved at equilibrium.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penis

Notice the bit where it says “The now engorged erectile tissue presses against and constricts the veins that carry blood away from the penis. More blood enters the penis than leaves until an equilibrium is reached (equal volume of blood flowing into the dilated arteries and out of the constricted veins)”
I wonder if when we have an erection that somehow it does not constrict on this certain vein that engorges the head?

I wonder if there is a way of fixing this without surgery, but naturally somehow?

Just one more thing, How can we be sure that this vein is the problem, Im just saying maybey its possible, that something else is the problem, and it doesnt matter if you already have the best erection you could possibly have, if you press down on that vein its will improve anyway.

Hi Yataghan.

I did a search on ‘penis dorsal vein’ and came up with a lot of links, which might be of help. There is one which carries out a test to see whether the dorsal vein is at fault Which if tried might confirm your reasoning. The link is:

Philips is an international electronics company so their methods would go beyond these UK borders (where I am)
Anyway try the link and the seach as it may reveal something of interest in your part of the world.

I sincerely hope that you can get the problem sorted out.

Psst! The link is at the bottom of the page :bigwink:

Again, try contacting an interventional radiologist or vascular surgeon (you may need a referral from your urologist who said he wouldn’t try it himself). This should be a 30 minute procedure under local anesthetic, if you can find someone willing.

Rock out with your cock out!

Thanks again for the help everyone.

Tenacious D I have contacted an interventional radiologist. As soon as I told him the problem, he seemed to understand and said he would check it out…and unless something else is completely abnormal they will try and embolize it! It is fantastic news, as all I’ve been looking for is someone to atleast TRY and fix this since even if the procedure doesn’t work, I am not going to be any worse off.

Amazing after spending a lot of my money seeing urologists, vascular surgeons etc all it took was one phone call and I’ve made more progress in 2 minutes then I have in 2 years.

Thanks SO much for the suggestion, if it works you will have changed my life

Glad to be of help. Keep us posted.

Best of luck!
