Jelqing Injury Worried and Scared

We debate the topic. We do not attack each other. Yes, I know it hasn’t happened yet in this thread, but you both seem to have a history with each other.

If you feel my advice is unwarranted or does no good just let me know and I’ll be gone with no hard feelings. If you feel that I make a small contribution then I’ll stick around ..

Guys I really didn’t try to stir up a debate or trouble. I don’t think anyone here is belittling what is going on with me and if I felt that way I wouldn’t be posting. Inspirit is correct though, I’m looking for counsel/guidance from experienced members who have been around and heard about this stuff before.

Of course any kind of training can result in Injury and I’m not mad at anyone here for what I did to myself.

That being said as symptoms come up, or as I realize them, I’m simply reporting back to get a more informed answers from all of the helpful people on this website. With all the wealth of experience I’m sure many people out there have heard of something like what is going on with me and are happy to help, which is why I’m here.

But back on topic, with any of the recent things I have posted does it lean to one injury or another? That is my question. Any feed back on THAT topic would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

OP, what I’m seeing from your post is that you want as many specifics and details about the injury as possible so that you won’t have to feel in the dark.

What I would suggest is to make a new thread with the your main symptoms as the title. Then, in the first post of this thread, list all of your symptoms very very clearly, along with exactly how they’ve started and progressed. Keep it concise, clear, and focused on the details of the symptoms.

This will be a beacon for others with knowledge and insight to see and comment, those with a similar issue who have gotten it diagnosed to help point you in the right direction, people who may have found a solution to share what’s helped, etc.

I know what I am suggesting is extreme, and it’s for that reason I have mentioned it. I have read through his posts and it is very similar to what happened to me, especially the disconnect coolguy is feeling at the base of his penis, so I feel my information is relevant here. I mentioned the nerves so coolguy can do the research and rule them in or out as suspects.

I had the same concerns but hopefulness for months on advice which suggested that it would heal if left alone. I went to many doctors all of which said there was nothing wrong, it was in my head, and couldn’t find anything. They won’t help you because diagnoses is purely clinical and only people specialised in the area will know what the problem is.

Again I want coolguy to look the nerves up and rule them out. I only found out about these nerve issues after 2 years going down the wrong path and I am well worse off because of it. Bad nerve pain can lead to other problems such as over increased tone in pelvic muscles (very bad for erections), muscle spasms and weakness, impact on mental health, and a rewiring of nerve impulses which can take an age to rectify. If nerves are the problem then getting on to it early is best so as to avoid the flow on effects to the body that I have.

I feel that coolguy deserves to know all possibilities so that he can act accordingly. I wish all the time that I knew years ago what happened to me.

Is it scary? Yes, but leaving it unchecked for any length of time that is avoidable is even scarier.

As I said. There are posters here that like to pretend that we don’t exist.

Did he not already have it checked? He did say he went to the doctor did he not? So correct me if I am wrong because I seem to be on thin ice around here but do you suggest he goes to more doctors? If you suspect a nerve issue then who is going to diagnose it if he does not go to more doctors? Now if no one finds any nerve issues than how is he to treat them? By himself with some herbs and stuff? I have never seen any kind of neuralgia or neuropathy healed by them.

Now you also mention he should get prescription anti-inflammatory; how does he get that without going to a doctor and getting the script? Do you think the doctor will just write him one because he asks for one? That how guys lose their license.

Are you replying to me jimmybob? I never suggested he not go to doctors. What I’m saying is, if he had this problem then he is going to need to be more specific about the doctors he sees. Someone who is a pelvic pain specialist for example.

If he doesn’t have this problem then that is good. The advice given in my original reply should be worth taking on board in either case.

Ok well now, I’m kind of nervous, I just called my GP to tell him I want to be referred to a urologist. Can any of the nerve damage you speak of be fixed? I hope I didnt do anything permanent to myself. I jelqed for maybe 2 weeks if that and never more then 10 minutes at a time. I may have used to firm of grip but can this little amount of jelqing really cause a permant injury like aussiewell is talking about? I hope everything clears up with more time.

As long as everyone debates the topic everything is okay. Once people start attacking each other there is a problem. This thread has not been bad. But there has been interactions from the same individuals on other threads that caused problems.

We don’t want all the threads to become flame wars and get off topic.

Please feel free to contribute to the thread if it furthers the debate. If you feel the need to make comments about each other and previous posting history then don’t even type it.

Coolguy.

Have you looked up the nerves I mentioned? If not, please do so. You may be able to rule my comments out automatically.

Most of my problem has come from following the advice “don’t worry and let it rest” and not knowing what I actually did. I have replied here so that if you find my case relevant then you can take action to avoid further problems.

Umm, I looked, but I’m not sure what to look for. Can you link it for me or something? So can you not get erections or anythign?

Can’t link anything as I am at work.
Look up pudendal neuralgia or (nerve) neuralgia.

I wouldn’t consider my injury permanent at this stage. I expect it to heal, but nerves are very funny.
I can get an erection, but I can not push blood through it well and they die very quickly. I could have limited my side effects and dysfunction by knowing of the issue sooner.

So from the research I have done on the forums and from how my penis is feeling now, I definitely think it has to do with the dorsal nerve. How lack had mentioned that earlier and I think he is right. My question is this, I know time is the only thing that will heal nerves and in most cases they will recover, but is there anything I can do to assist it in recover? And is it true that these nerves will fully recover? Also have you guys heard of this happening before? Heard of anybody who fully recovered? Thanks guys appreciate the help and support!

Have you tried reverse kegels yourself, and if so how did they affect your situation? I’ve read a lot of things about reverse kegels helping people with hard flaccid. Are your symptoms similar to hard flaccid? Seems like hard flaccid is caused by unbalanced pelvic muscles and can be combated with reverse kegels.
