Guys, I’m still feeling quite the disconnect from my penis. It feels as though it isnt as attached to the base as it was before. Even when I try and stop the my flow of urine while I pee it takes a second or two where as normally it would instantly stop. I think I may have injured my PC muscle as well. It feels very tight right underneath my ball sack and if get any type of blood flow into my penis I get a weird twitch/throbbing feeling. I will most likely be scheduling an appointment for a urologist to get a second opinion. Until then I will continue to rest and keep you updated. If anyone has anymore insight into this please let me know. Thanks.

Your penis feeling less attached could be from a detached ligament which isn’t a big deal, and some people even see it as a good thing because it allows your penis to stretch out further. You’re pelvic floor muscles could be strained or unbalanced and that could be why you can’t cut off your urine flow as fast as you used to. Some gentle reverse kegels might help balance your pelvic floor muscles, but take it easy so you don’t strain the potential injury even more. It’d probably be best to just leave it alone for now though, and you can try the reverse kegels at a later time if you feel the need to.

Thanks poople, I appreciate the insight! I will definitely just leave it alone right now as you suggest. And that is good to know that it isnt a big deal, that puts my mind at bit more at ease. If it was in fact a detached ligament would it be normal for it to hurt for awhile until it heals?

I think so. It might not be completely detached either, it could be torn or just strained. How bad is the pain?

For me it feels pretty bad, but its all I can think about right now so it probably makes it a little worse. But it hurts bad enough to not want to masturbate if that helps at all.

You shouldn’t try to masturbate or force erections. Just leave it alone, it’ll get better. If you don’t have any signs of internal bleeding in your penis, like bruising or any discoloration, it’d be okay to take advil, ibuprofen, etc. for the pain. Those are blood thinners so it could also help improve blood flow in your penis if you’re pelvic floor muscles are unbalanced which could help with the turtling problem.

Thanks man your encouraging words mean a lot. And no, no real discoloration just the dicomfort. And I went to my GP he would have been able to see any of that right? I guess this is just taking a bit longer then I expected to heal.

Is it possible I could have ruptured something inside my penis? What would the symptoms be?

Don’t you think a doctor could tell if there was something wrong? Do you suffer from anxiety issues?

No not really, this has just been giving me anxiety because I havent been able to get an erection in 3 weeks and I’m still in pain. I just want to cover all bases., I feel like its best to get this kind of stuff sorted out asap. Just more knowledge about my situation and others opinions will help me to better understand what is going on. So if I did in fact rupture something I would want to get it fixed as soon as I can. Which is why I was asking what the symptoms would be. Plus I just saw my GP not a urologist. And he did not run any tests or anything like that just simply looked at it and sent me on my way.

There would definitely be some visual indicators if you ruptured something. Don’t worry about anything like that, it would be obvious if it was something like that.

Don’t pay any mind to jimmybob, he just jumps from injury thread to injury thread accusing people of not actually having an injury and it all being in their head.

Get some tests done if you can, it’s most likely nothing serious, but if you’re having chronic pain, some tests might be able to show why you’re in pain, and it would put your mind at ease to know for sure that it isn’t anything serious.

Thanks poople I appreciate it man. Your right I’m sure if it was anything that serious the doctor would have seen it. I’m just not sure what it is exactly. Still have the pain but I’m trying to stay positive. Hopefully it isnt anything to serious and it heals up on its own relatively soon. I havent gotten any spontaneous erections in awhile which is a little disheartening but I’m still hoping its nothing to serious. Its been a few weeks going like this, the blood flow just seems really bad. Hopefully thats just becasue its healing and it will eventually go back to normal. You have any guesses as to what it could be?

Only thing I can think of is a torn suspensory ligament. Maybe the pain with a little mixture of anxiety is what is preventing you from getting erections, but really none of us, and no doctor can tell you exactly what is causing it. Only way to know exactly what is causing the pain is to get tests done. If the pain doesn’t get any better in another week, you should get some sort of scan done. When you see a doctor about it, make sure you are very specific about the area that is in pain and the area you want to get scanned.

Only thing I can tell you is that it could be your suspensory ligament and that from what you describe, it doesn’t sound serious. But if you have chronic pain for weeks it’s definitely something you’ll want to get checked out.

I’ve said it before, even minor ligament damage can take months to heal and be painful while it does, just one of those things.

Most folk at some point will have tweaked an ankle or shoulder and had some pain for weeks and just got on with life.
It’s only when it’s something you’re obsessed with it becomes an issue, have seen the same problem with weight trainers.
