Jelqing injury Can't get erection

Thread Closed

The ability to get an erection is back again, and my penis looks and feels like it’s healing nicely. I’m going to avoid warm showers, sleeping, and strenuous activities at least until I go to the doctor. I know I shouldn’t avoid sleeping, but due to my severe lack of masturbation, ass n titties is all I see when I close my eyes, and I don’t want to risk re-opening my injury by getting an erection in my sleep.

So the varicose-like veins on the left base of my penis might be a problem. Varicose veins are caused by the veins inability to hold blood in the vein, so the blood starts going back down the vein while blood is going up the vein and it builds up pressure in the area and damages the vein even more. These varicose veins could be directly linked to venous leakage, which could lead to erectile dysfunction in the future if these veins are put under any more stress and aren’t allowed to heal. I’ve been reading putting ice on varicose veins is good, so I’m going to continue doing that a few times a day. I’m going to bring up this concern with the doctor and see what he thinks about it, and I’m also going to try to get some medication that will prevent me from getting erections.

From what I understand, a venous leak is caused by damage to the spongy erectile tissue, so that when it expands, it fails to properly seal off the veins and prevent blood from flowing out of the penis too rapidly. Those varicose veins in and of themselves shouldn’t have any effect on function.

Also with the doctor I would avoid using any medical terminology whatsoever. Just explain your symptoms in simple, clear detail

Got an appointment to see a urologist on Monday. Have some new weird symptoms as well. I’m a bit swollen above my penis on the left side, I think it’s just a swollen lymph node, I read that they get swollen after an injury sometimes. Been feeling a sharp sensation In the swollen area from time to time as well as in the left side of my scrotum, not painful and doesn’t last long. I can still get an erection, but I’ve been trying to avoid it.

Went in to see the urologist today, and he says everything is fine. He was friendly, but the way he examined me was kind of annoying. I told him that I rolled onto an erection while I was sleeping and injured myself. I was able to voice some of my concerns, but not all because It was like I was being rushed. When he was examining my penis, I wasn’t swollen at all today and that seemed like it was the only thing he was looking for. I pointed out the mark below my glans, and the red mark going all the way down my penis, and he literally said “I’m going to assume that was already there.” I should have been more vocal and told him it wasn’t there before, but I just didn’t feel like talking while another man fondled my penis. He also said something about my circumcision scar tissue being a bit strange but nothing to worry about, but I know that’s scar tissue from jelqing, not from a circumcision. He said he’s going to schedule me for an ultrasound just to make sure he’s not missing anything. I know everything will heal fine, but it just bothers me that he was acting like there was never an injury even though it’s obvious just by looking at my penis.

Okay I said I wouldn’t comment on this thread but I have to. Why didn’t you tell him that you feel that you injured yourself? Is he supposed to read your mind? You don’t tell the guy the truth and you want him to help you? You don’t want a doctor; you want a mind reader and a magician!

I did tell him I injured myself. I told him I rolled on an erection while sleeping instead of telling him I injured myself jelqing. I also told him how I couldn’t get an erection for a couple days after, and that it feels weird when I get an erection now. He just brushed it off like it was nothing.

You don’t don’t think it would have been wise to tell him the truth? There is a difference between an injury that maybe considered a blunt force type ( rolling over with an erection and bending and or pushing inward as you rolled) with one that may have been caused by stretching/pulling out like a jelq would cause. Bottom line if you don’t tell him the truth don’t waste his time or yours.

From other stories I’ve read, If I told him it was from jelqing, I would probably have to explain what jelqing is, and then he would have probably taken me less seriously than he already was.

Well then do what you want; your sincerity of having someone help you and you getting better is lacking.

One of the problems with these situations is that doctors tend not to take penile injuries that seriously unless there’s major, massive trauma like intense pain, or serious internal bleeding. Otherwise, they are generally cold, dismissive and will usually just say well I can give you Viagra.

I’ve tried the whole open, honest, obedient listener thing, and as a result was just bowled over, rushed through the appointment, and given dismissive and unhelpful treatment.

I ended up getting better help in other appointments by firmly speaking up, but still felt like I had to fight just to get any answers.

Always best to be honest with doctor. If you had told him you actually caused the injury. .He would have been more interested, worried and done more in depth examination IMO. Yes I’ve had many health related issues with penis last year and a half and I know its hard to find good urologists who take time to do good exam. Glad you are well.. I am now worried about extender I may have now.

I’m pretty sure I’ll heal and be alright. Things definitely seem to be getting better. I’ll reschedule another appointment if things don’t get better in the next few weeks, or if things get worse, but I’ll be honest, and a lot more demanding if I have to.

I’m honestly curious as to how you developed the opinion that being honest about jelqing will prompt a urologist to be interested, worried and conduct in depth examination.

Over a decade of countless experiences points to the exact opposite, and I would hate to see more naive people disappointed, disillusioned and have their time and money wasted. It would be better to go to these doctors with a realistic idea of how they will react and practical ways to respond in order to get the most for one’s time and money, IMO.

Well number 1 I wouldn’t tell a doctor I was jelqing.. Simply say doing stretching exercises. Experienced Urologists have seen and heard all. As a.mattter of fact one of the times recently I went to ER for penis pain ,the first question ER doc asked was if I had stuck anything in penis! I have had appx 18-20 Urologist appt in past year and a half with 6 different Urologists due to illness and physical problems . Yes it is hard to find one to take more than 10 minutes. .But rather than saying you woke up with injury, I believe being honest about cause will bring better result.
