Jelqing has destroyed my life A warning.

I’m not suggesting that this is the case with you but it is not an unusual course for other problems and it’s super hard to recognise in oneself.

Four years is an awfully long time and I’m not surprised that you have given up hope. Who amongst us could be strong for this period of time. It’s also the kind of time in which a problem can seem more and more complex and insoluble.

So, even if you feel like there’s no chance that you could be impacted physically by mental processes but you do accept that you are depressed and anxious, then it makes sense to try to deal with the depression and anxiety.

There is a good starter course run on stress (and thence depression and anxiety) in many parts of the NHS. It’s not a group therapy thing or anything horrible it’s just a series of seminars. You can download the course material from here:

Though I can’t say I agree 100% with the approach in the course, it does supply a lot of information that you may find useful and stresses CBT as a way of dealing with stress, depression and anxiety. I’m sure a lot of the concepts will be familiar to you due to the medical interaction you’ve had over the last four years but it may help you talk to people and understand what boxes they are putting you in and whether you feel you fit or not.

No it was my fault I mis-read your post and I whilst completely agree the idea that theoretically parts of this problem could be perpetuated by a mental state I really struggle with the idea that almost complete sensitivity loss could. But then when you analyse it more, anxiety could lead to tension in the pelvic floor which could in turn be crushing a nerve which leads to sensitivity loss. This is of course all theorising.

I have been on anti depressants (ED is not a side effect of this particular drug) for 2 and a half years now and have been seeing a therapist and she has referred me to a psychiatrist so I am tackling the mental side of things as it is the only thing I really have to go at.

But I just find it almost impossible to believe that should I free myself of depression and anxiety (is there such a thing as a person without any kind of stress or anxiety in their life?) that one day I will wake up and my penis will have full sensitivity, be an inch longer and half and inch wider than it is now and no longer “firm” and be in full working order erection-wise.

No one is saying that it will happens overnight. Understanding where the problem is, that is already a progress.

I think I have already spoken in this thread of the tanqaan practice; it is a traditional practice in Iran, They abruptely bent their full erect penis. The outcome is, very often, penis fracture (warning : disturbing images) :

http://it.bing. com/images/sear … selectedIndex=0

this event is so extreme to cause often urethral and arterial disruption. You can tell that there isn’t any need to guess if you have an injury in these cases, the pain is excruciating and the images speak for themselves.

Well, the interesting thing is that a survey on the follow up of about 300 cases of tunica rupture was done in two hospitals; near all the patients healed and only a minimal percentage (less than 5% if my memory serves) reported long term ED. 5% is probably lower than the incidence of ED in the general male population. What is even more interesting, is that not only those patients who undergone surgery healed without long term consequences, but those who opted for conservative management - which basically is an euphemism in medicine to say ‘Just left it alone’ - healed too.

So, what are the chances that a few jelqs can leave a guy with ED for life? From a physical point of view, none, at least if the guy is a healthy male. If there is long term ED, some other causes have to be the biggest factor.

Mind and body are just one thing; the sentence ‘Speak with a psychiatrist’ can sound as rude at a first read, but actually it only means that the problem should be analyzed in every perspective, because if the mind is convinced that the penis will not work, it will not work - it isn’t just imagination, there will be some very real factors involved like neurochemicals, hormones etc. etc.. Have you checked your dopamine levels? Have you tried melanotan II, for example? How about your hormonal levels?

Willy Wonka,

I have posted a new thread in the injuries forum about inflammation “Injury & Inflammation supplements for recovery”, it will be directly useful for you. The reason I didn’t post it here is I want it to reach a broader audience than this thread has, there will be more to follow so keep your eyes open.

But I don’t know where the problem is? I am theorising just like everyone else.

My initial belief and one that remains at the back of my mind is that it’s impossible for me to have damaged my penis doing what I did. Impossible. It (jelqing) felt different, slightly painful when I did it but I just couldn’t and still can’t believe that what I did was enough to have done so much damage. But when your penis changes completely and stays that way for 4 years with no improvement what other explanation can there be? You certainly aren’t thinking about your pelvic floor at that point are you?

But one thing is certainly true. This problem WAS caused by the act of jelqing. There is no doubt whatsoever there and it is backed up by all the other incidents of people incurring the same problem/s after jelqing.

Could it be that there was an underlying tension in the pelvic floor and jelqing lit the touch paper? After joining and reading a board for fellow sufferers where this idea was first brought up about 18 months I would say yes, that is a theory that makes a lot of sense but one that is still extremely difficult to get a diagnosis from. But the process of jelqing was still the cause of what I am experiencing now, I’ve masturbated several times a day before and I’ve had rough sex and I’ve never experienced any adverse effects afterward. It’s important it is recognised that jelqing can lead to horrible side effects for certain men so potential jelqers can make an informed decision before trying it.

So what are you doing to try and fix the problem?

I have achieved my short term goals 7 x 6++ 17.78cm bpelx 15.2cm mseg 17.1cm beg...

long term goal 8 x current girth

I would definitely engage in some sort of light PE to remedy the problem. Try flacid stretching and kegels. When I started PE at 18 6 yrs ago jelqing caused red spots, my only thoughts are that you over did it try watching porn with no physical stimulation at most soft rubbing/stroking and I reckon your erection quality will improve. Kegels are your best bet. I feel sorry for you but leaving it alone and only using your hands with it once a week is what I think would help you recover.

Safe recovery and hope. Confidence is key

At birth I was given a choice between a good memory and a big dick, but I can't remember what I chose.

Did you regain your EQ dude?

I knew you would be here, somehow.

Don’t worry too much.

Just rest.

Haha, still, after all this fuss, I really wish this guy got better.

It seems he fucked up the dorsal vein pretty bad.

It heals but may take long enough. It heals though for sure. It is just a very bad injury.

After that he just got lost in bad psychology.

Not to sound rude but what are your credentials exactly? What makes you think that he will heal 100%? I have a similar problem and it’s been going on for a long time. I have no idea what I did to it however. I’ve made very slight recovery and I don’t want to cling onto false hopes of it healing eventually.

How did your problem occur, throwaway? And when?

It’s better isn’t it?

Body heals mate. Unless you convince it not to.

Are you the same guy?

Cause this thread was dead and you raised it like Lazarus.

Sorry to say that but you didn’t mention your issue first.

No it isn’t the same guy, THIS is the same guy.

I too would like to know your credentials as far as urological conditions go? What do you do for a living; if you are not a Doctor or Surgeon I would advise when you feel the urge to make ridiculous diagnoses such as “fu**ed up dorsal vein” with seemingly no expertise but those garnered from a penis enlargement forum please don’t, it’s dangerous and only makes matters worse.

Secondly, when men are coming on here frightened with traumatic penile injuries please don’t jump to unhelpful presumptions (“It’s healed hasn’t it. It’s you isn’t it, cause this thread was dead and you raised it like Lazarus”). Not only does it back frightened people into a very dark corner it makes you look defensive, paranoid, lacking in empathy and afraid of the truth.

Many thanks.
