Jelq problem

I increased my jelqing time to 40 minutes and next day i noticed a sharp stabbing feeling in the shaft and head, had two days break then tried again for thirty minutes but i had to stop because of slight sharp feelings but now its easing off but concerned maybe 40 minutes was too much for me.

Pain means stop, I would give it some more time and I wouldn’t start up again until the pain was totally gone
