It's not an injury, it's a feature!

Last fall, after an overly energetic jelqing session, I discovered a hard string like vessel on my shaft near the glans - a couple of inches long. I’m still not sure whether to call it a lymphocele or thrombosed vein or what. I followed the advice on the forums, including using Eroset oil along with DMSO, applying heat, and no PEing for awhile. I also tried icing it down and eventually tried some light jelqing.

However, the problem never went away. It did diminish some, but when I’m erect it’s still noticeable if I look for it.

As it’s not causing any problems - no pain, no redness, no EQ difficulty - I’ve decided to live with it. Some guys buy condoms that are “ribbed for her pleasure”. I consider this an accidental DIY pleasure rib. My wife doesn’t complain about it feeling strange during oral or during sex, so I know it’s not an issue for her.

I am wondering, however, if I can expect it to slowly go away. I considered going to a urologist, but since it isn’t causing any problems I don’t see the need for any medical attention, and like many of us here, I don’t feel like having to answer any questions about how I got it, and don’t want any doctor or nurse fiddling around with my equipment.

Anyone else ever have something like this that stubbornly refused to go away?

Thanks!

Jimbeaux

It may go away slowly, but if it’s not bothering you it’s probably OK. If it does start to feel anything other than comfortable, get it looked at.

firegoat is fully RETIRED from Thundersplace.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results

Thanks, Firegoat. I’ve had it for at least six months with no problems, so I think I’m safe.

I have something that sounds quite similar near the base on the top left side of the shaft. It first appeared when I began manual stretching long before I found TP and learned that PE was a real discipline. I had a pronounced left bend with a hook, which seems related to reduced shaft expansion at a focused point on the left side. So was manually stretching in an attempt to straighten. I could also feel that my ligs on the left side where much tighter and my stretching was limited by the left side ligs. Eventually I started getting lig pops, which seriously freaked me out the first time. Then shortly after this hard, lumpy section of what I think is lig began to apear near the base.

It’s not always prominent - checking now fully flaccid I can’t find it - but after jelq/stretch/clamp exercises it can become very noticeable. On the days I achieve maximum elasticity it is quite noticeable, even when flaccid. It’s never been painful or discolored, and I’ve never correlated it with overtraining. Like you, I’ve grown to just see it as improved texture, much like the added veins I’ve developed from years of PE. I’ve never heard a complaint about it either.
