Injury Update

I’ve lurked on many hard flaccid forums, and am “Treant” over on PE Gym. I’m just here to share some findings on my injury, and maybe in time be a link for some others to map their recovery plans. I jumped from a tree into the water as an innocent enough day of creek canoeing with some friends, and immediately had some awful spasms between my legs, as well as pain in the anus.

Didn’t think much of it. Over the next few weeks, I started to discover that my penis was numb, and I had hard flaccid. I’m currently waiting for an MRI on the 27th at 10am, and will have it interpreted March 2nd in Pensacola by a urologist.

My spine is also pretty effed up, and it is possible that a nerve in the sacrum / lower lumbar is responsible for this, beyond the slightly open pubic symphysis (lower half). Even with all of this damage, I do believe recovery is possible for all of us. I have followed the HANS protocol for three months now, and have a great chiropractor. I’ve had recoveries, and defeating set backs, but am determined to get through this injury.

The testicles and penile shaft are currently numb, but oddly the head isn’t. Similar pelvic floor spasms as many have outlined in other areas, and up until last week, horrible trouble defecating. That subsided when my coccyx was hammered back into place by an odd little chiropractic tool. My right pubic bone has also been popped back into place, and I enjoyed brief sensory restoration for 2 days, before a spasm near my transverse perineal muscles and bulbocavernous (sp?) muscle knocked out sensation once again. Sildanefil works pretty well in 2 or 3 doses of 20mg, and I cycle them at night, as research says they may not only reduce plaque / fibrosis build up, but also restore smooth muscle integrity. After 4 months of sildanefil regularly (breaking my bank account), I believe this to be true. I had initially lost an inch and a half in length, but have restored slightly over an inch throughout this period of sildanefil cycling. My GF hasn’t left me, so overall my morale is high, despite the frustration with my VA doctors, and the daily frustration of bathroom difficulty.

There are theories currently that I either damaged something near the inferior rami, or tore the arcuate pubic ligament. Pubic Symphysis diastis is also an issue I suffer from currently, but chiropractic therapy has not only nearly healed it, but restored some of the appearance of my right testicle; along with vanquishing the freakish amount of veins covering my scrotum. I await more results, and will be happy to share them. 216 lbs, 5 11, 800 testosterone exactly. Normal prolactin. Currently being treated for prostatitis, suspected as a reaction to trauma from the fall. We will see.

Nice to meet you all. I apologize if this is the wrong area to post, we don’t have many options as new members.

I’m sorry to hear you’re going through all that. Maybe run by your doctor taking meriva (bioavailable curcumin from tumeric) and DHA oil (fish oil but specifically you want very high DHA and low epa). They basically reduce inflammation, which may also help in healing.

Again, I hope you find some peace.
