Injury from Kegels?

Nice, your updates also give some good, clear insight on the progression of this type of injury, which will help anyone in a similar situation in the future. Glad to hear things are going well.

Looks like I’ve regressed a bit.

Woke up this morning with no morning wood, having a bit of trouble going to the bathroom, some pain in my BC, bulge feeling in my PC, and poor EQ. I could probably force myself to a 100% woody, but I’m not going to try.

I attribute this to two things. 1. I was very horny yesterday and could not stop getting erections. This led to many IK and overall put some stress on the BC. And 2. I wasn’t very disciplined with my RKs or Hindi squats yesterday.

Lesson learned: Keep up with your routine no matter how well you’re doing.

Now, I imagine I’ll be in a better condition by tomorrow or the day after since I don’t think I’ve regressed that much and I’ll be much more diligent with my routine. However, if I get crazy horny like I did before, what should I do about all those random boners? Should I just hindi squat and RK through them?

Trying too forcefully to get rid of the erections might not be the best thing either. Maybe some gentle RKs, but otherwise I would try letting them just come and go and continue seeing how things progress. If after a little while it seems that the erections truly are preventing recovery, and that recovery would only be possible after going through a certain period of time without too many erections, then it may need to be somehow addressed, but it seems like preventing involuntary erections is kind of impossible. Also, someone got seriously injured from pushing their erect penis down too hard when they were a kid, so anything forceful is probably a bad idea, including stuff to prevent erections. I would just continue with the recovery routine and monitor things for now.

Yeah I wasn’t going to try and push them down or anything. I used to do that as a kid as well and snapped my dick one time. Didn’t realize how serious it was until I got older. Luckily for me I made a full recovery from that.

No I know you weren’t I don’t know why I put that in my post. I think I was just trying to say to make sure determination to heal the injury doesn’t cause you to do anything reckless, or even something you wouldn’t normally do that doesn’t sound dangerous at first glance. For instance, if not for this injury, would you ever think to try to RK away all or a large percentage of your erections? No way- meaning it’s unnatural pressure on the body and potentially harmful. It’s just like how a lot of people get injured from kegels because they sound perfectly safe, considering people erect kegel every time they ejaculate, etc. but reps of kegels isn’t something a person would naturally do. Anything you wouldn’t normally do with your body=approach with caution, and determination to heal injuries can make people less cautious than normal about every little thing, so it can be a recipe for disaster.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. I never thought of it like that. All things considered, deep breathing sounds like it would be the best option in this scenario. Can’t ever go wrong with that

Yeah it seems that long periods of stretching/squatting and heavy deep breathing seem to have the most benefit. The biggest challenge now are all the IKs, mainly when going to the bathroom.

So I think I see a pattern in my recovery.

I get to the point where I can get full erections, but as the day progresses I can’t get full erections and then the next day is back to square one. Then rest for a day or 2, then back to 100 percent, then the cycle continues.

Also struggling with some major hard flaccid today. Something I haven’t had prior to today.

Really just at a loss for what I should do.

Do you notice any other changes along with erectile quality? For instance, when your erections are better again, are the pain or bulge less, and do they get worse again along with the decline in EQ? I would just let it run it’s course for a little while, continue to carefully do what has been helping, and keep seeing how things change. It might be too early to have a clear sense of things.

In the mornings on good days, my erections are phenomenal. In the 95-100 range, no pain, way more girthy than before I started PE, and full length with no pain (although this morning it seemed a bit less lengthy. But still very girthy). Then throughout the day I lose all of that. By the night It probably doesn’t get anymore that 50-60 with or without stimulation, pain in the shaft and in the BC, and now today I have HF with sustained pain in my upper shaft. I’m in a tricky place right now because I’m on a good 2 month streak with NoFap and I just got out of a flat-line, so my libido is through the roof. I’m not trying to get these random boners, but since I’m so horny they just happen. I think itll just be a matter of really keeping myself distracted with a whole bunch of other shit so that theres little chance for any kind of mental or physical stimulation, because the more boners I get, the less I heal and the more I regress.

Assuming NoFap means no masturbation at all and not just no masturbating to porn (not really familiar with it) I’m thinking the fact that you were doing it for almost 2 months before starting PE may have contributed to the injury. Since you hadn’t been ejaculating, you were, in a sense, less warmed up and less conditioned when you first started PE, but it’s obviously just a theory/opinion. Similar to if someone had stopped walking for almost 2 months, and then suddenly started sprinting.

Are you getting erections while sleeping/do you wake up with an erection? If you are then maybe something else is contributing to these changes besides erections. When lying down your pelvic floor is more relaxed, so as a possibility maybe it’s better in the morning since you had just been lying down for awhile. If you are getting erections throughout the night and things are better in the morning, there would have to be another factor besides just erections causing it to regress. Unless only erections when standing are problematic, considering the pelvic floor is more tense when standing, which goes back to the fact that people with hard flaccid tend to have it worse when standing, and have even had dopplers come back normal lying but abnormal standing..

Yeah no masturbation with or without porn. I think you’re right to believe that it contributed to the injury. I’ve been trying to stay consistent with NoFap for the last 2-3 years, and have had multiple streaks of 1-3 months. So my PF muscles were definitely in a weaker state than most people when starting out.

Yes I do get erections when I sleep and I usually wake up with an erection or I wake up super horny and an erection ensues.

Been a while since I last updated, so here it goes.

Recovery has been very slow, with a few set backs. The set backs I’ve been having are wet dreams. I’ve had 3 this last week, 2 of which happened last night. A few interesting things to note, though. First of all, the first wet dream wasn’t exactly a wet dream, I seemed to have a dry orgasm. Then I went back to sleep and then actually had a wet dream, but with a very small load. Then I got out of bed to clean up and noticed that my dick was more engorged with blood than I had ever seen it since I was like 12. Like, all the veins were popping out, the head was huge, all great signs except that the EQ didn’t feel very good. By this I mean that even though it was crazy engorged, it still felt weak, probably because the BC is still strained and just got restrained from ejaculation.

Aside from this, I also have Hard Flaccid. Its gotten to the point where I mostly get it exclusively when standing up, and also relieves while urinating.

My routine consists mostly of happy baby pose and garland pose with RKs 3 times a day since hindu squats havent been too kind on my knees. Should I start doing RKs while standing up now without being in a yoga pose so that I encourage the PF to relax when just standing at rest? Or even while walking? Or is that just a silly idea? Also, I stopped doing leg day at the gym because I didn’t want to further strain myself, but since its almost been a month now, would it be OK to start doing weighted squats and dead lifts again? My leg muscles are getting smaller as we speak :(
