Indentation After Injury

Hi! Please move this to Injuries. Sorry for the inconvenience.

About 5-6 weeks ago I wanted to start PE. I began using a beginners schedule which consisted of a warm up, 5 minutes of stretching, 10 minutes of jelqing, followed by a cool down.
I did this a total of two times. During these workouts I didn’t feel anything unusual.

About one hour after my second session I felt some fatigue and soreness as well as a light pins and needles sensation in my glans, but I didn’t think much of it.
I noticed when I tried to get hard that on the right side of my shaft just under my head there was a dent/narrowing of about an inch in length. I thought to myself that it would just subside and continued to masturbate.

After it didn’t get better for 3 days I went to see a doctor who did an ultrasound and told me that he couldn’t see anything abnormal and not to worry about it.

I then began doing light AM 1.0 to increase blood flow after being advised to do so (I made a post on reddit). Eventually I moved on to 2.0 and while my flaccid hang and vascularity are better than ever before I‘m afraid my condition hasn’t gotten a lot better.

My dent/narrowing is best visible when I‘m semi erect. In that state it looks really quite terrible. It‘s also bent to the right a lot in that state which it wasn’t before at all.
When I‘m fully hard it isn’t very visible and sometimes not at all (it goes up and down).
I feel some dull aches from time to time but nothing too bad.

I was wondering if anyone had anything similar happen to them and if I can heal from this. After 1 month I can sadly see little to no improvement and I‘m getting more and more anxious about it.

Maybe I should just give it some complete rest for a while?

Thanks a lot for reading and I hope that someone can help me. I really need it.

Don’t do any PE or masturbate until it’s resolved. What you did is akin to spraining an ankle and continuing to run on it.

Do you think it will completely heal? The fact that there‘s no pain other than some dull aches and that I can get erections makes me a little bit optimistic but it looks really pretty bad, especially in semi erect state.

I have no idea. But continuing to do what you have certainly won’t help it heal.

Has anybody else experienced something like this or does anyone know about someone who has? :(

Have you seen a doctor?

I‘ve seen a urologist and he felt my penis and did and ultrasound. According to him there is no organic damage which fits into the consensus on this forum that doctors really have not a lot of knowledge about penile injuries.

So rest assured he didn’t see something glaring. Give it time and keep your hands off of it.

What exactly did he do during the ultrasound? Did he inject your penis with something to induce an erection beforehand? Roughly how long did the ultrasound take?

He put a lotion on my flaccid penis and moved the thing (I don‘t know what it is called) over it for about a minute while watching the screen. He inspected my whole penis but concentrated on the area where I told him the thinning is. It‘s not really visible when flaccid.
He then told me that there is nothing wrong.

He didn‘t inject me with anything.

So he did a penile ultrasound, which is primarily used to check for plaque or fibrosis from peyronie’s disease or penile fracture, or hematoma generally associated with penile cancer, and not a doppler ultrasound, where he would have injected something to induce an erection and tested the rate of bloodflow, which makes sense since you didn’t mention erectile issues. What you are describing does not sound at all like one of the things penile ultrasounds are typically used to check for, but it couldn’t hurt to try to do the test, being a quick and painless procedure with no risk. The issue again is how these tests are not used to pinpoint subtle injuries to tissues or nerves resulting in minor damage or inflammation, which can still have a significant impact on sexual functioning.

I see.
Well I guess it’s a good sign he didn’t see anything, like Titleist said.
Do you have any suggestions what I could do in addition to resting to fully heal as quickly as possible?

Thanks for your responses

If it’s from a sprain/strain or irritation/inflammation, resting would be the main thing, but in addition to resting your penis, be careful with strenuous physical activity in general, which will still put some degree of pressure on the genital region. Also observe how your penis feels after sitting in different chairs or types of seats, which put pressure on it too.

I guess it‘s probably a bleed out spot and I‘m not getting enough tissue perfusion in that area..

Is getting erections going to hinder healing?

Erections that happen on their own shouldn’t make a significant difference, but don’t do anything to induce an erection.
