Hi guys,

Recently I had an erection and squeezed at the base to force more blood into the glans and shaft, but when I squeezed there a little sharp pain on the right side shaft near the base where I squeezed.

This was during sex and it didn’t seem to bother me at the time. It was only 2 days later that I again felt a little pain in the same area. There is no discolouration or anything.

Any ideas what I may have done or what I should do to fix it?

Had you been doing considerably more PE than usual (time or intensity) in the week before? If you had, you need to be very cautious for a while. Sudden increases in PE can leave the penis very much more vulnerable to injury.

If you had just been doing your ‘normal’ PE, and as you didn’t feel it again for 2 days, it is unlikely to be anything serious. It would still be a good idea to take a week or 2 off from any intense PE, and to be very aware of how it feels while you are doing more gentle PE. If gentle PE doesn’t produce any discomfort at all, then increase steadily.

Best bet is to rest it and don’t squeeze it till it’s better, are there any hard lymph vessels in the area? If so do a search there are many posts on lymph issues.

Nope, there is no trace of any lumps or spots or anything. I’ve actually reduced my PE by a bit so I probably just squeezed too hard in the wrong spot. Only thing I’ve been doing differently is spreading out my exercises throughout the day rather than all at once at the same time.

I’m kind of dealing with the same thing, also from sqeezing-type exercise. I had to stop PE for 3+ weeks. It’s now much better, but I’ll admit I still feel it if I try to jelq too intensely. If I keep the grip on the lighter side and don’t try any fancy stuff I can get through 200 jelqs and a stretch with no serious pain at this point. I do have (and have had for a long time) something that feels like a hard lymph node near the area of pain. Not sure if it’s related at all. My pain was a bit higher up at the shaft than yours (just under the glans), but also on the right side.

Part of me just wants to leave it alone for months, but I’m afraid I’ll lose all my (modest) gains. The other part of me just wants to continue exercising and keeping the intensity low, hoping it continues full recovery even while I do gentle PE.

The main thing I’m trying to avoid is breaking it!

Heat cycled on and off and gentle massage of the hard lymph area will help, don’t PE until it feels better, you won’t lose your gains and if you do they will come back very quickly when you start again.
