Have I Damaged My Penis Permanently

I feel so stupid that I’ve done this and this so stupid writing this but here it is. There was a programme on TV the other day featuring a journalist who was practicing the technique “jelqing”. As I’m sure you will know, it involves making an “ok” sign with your finger and thumb around your penis and stroking it down the shaft of your penis towards the head about 40 or so times. So, whilst I was watching the programme I thought “what the hell” and tried the method simply out of interest. I performed the “jelqing” once for precisely 40 strokes whilst half erect, and that is all.

I woke up the next morning and the whole top part of the shaft running to the tip of the head was completely numb and my erections aren’t as strong. This has been going on for 6 days now without improvement and I am obviously terrified. Is it really possible that I have damaged my penis permanently even with such a short, one off period of “jelqing”. I have since learnt that I probably put too much pressure on the dorsal nerve of the penis. Is it possible I have damaged the nerve permanently?? How can I have done this?

I’m angry at myself for doing it and I’m worried and I don’t know how I would be able to explain this to a doctor.

Can anyone offer any advice??

Thank you for any help, I need it, I’m pretty terrified at the prospect of a permanent partially numb penis.

Last time I checked jelqing is meant to engorge the penis so I recommend jelqing not too hard and at a soft erect level.

Please follow the newbie routine and growth will follow.

Started: NBPEL 5.5 == EG: 5

Current: NBPEL 7.5 == EG: 6

Goal: NBPEL 8 == EG: 6

I tried the newbie routine and my penis never felt better. I felt it hanging nicely after my first time jelq. I woke up today and I get fast boners and it just feels great. I like how it hangs more.

Starting length: 5.5 Inches - - - - GOAL length: 7 Inches or more

Starting Girth: 5 Inches - - - - GOAL Girth: 6 Inches or more

To be honest you should just leave it and avoid masturbation and sexual activities. At least until any damage you’ve caused fixes itself. If nothing has changed after 2 weeks, then I advise that you go to your doctor and explain what happened. What would you prefer a little embarrassment or life long nerve damage to your member which could hinder any sexual encounters in the future?

Hope my 2 cents helps.

Welcome aboard willy wonka. I don’t think you have permanently damaged your penis, but speaking with a Doc could help on the psychological side - our mind can be the first enemy of our penis.

We have a good set of tutorial videos and instructions, you can give a look at them and reading the newbie member instructions, so your recovery time will not be a waste, after all.

Good luck!

I saw that.that program really put pressure on guys in my opinion. He had a 7.5 inch dick b4 jelqing then 8inches after and everyone interviewed were 7-10 inches. So I see why you did it and the journalist guy did 100 a day.

'b4'?

I doubt you would have done any permanent damage on your first try. Jelqing is one of our main exercises and most routines use it. However you have to condition the penis to exercise before going too strongly. I agree with the guys who said to lay off until your dick returns to normal. Then follow the newbie routine. Also read the thread on “Physiologic indicators” to understand the signals.

Physiologic Indicators (PIs) to help growth!

Don’t forget to record your measurements before starting a program. Welcome to Thunders and good luck with your goals.

As in any PE exercise, (or full body exercise), start off conservatively. Read the signs the next day and figure out if you exceeded your own limits, which are different from mine or Joe Blow’s. If you didn’t, add a few more of whatever.

While 40 jelks might mean nothing to some guys, 40 for you might be the same as running a marathon when out of shape.

Listen to your cock. It is talking to you. :)

I don’t think it is permanent, but the main problem might have been you been a newbie and not warming up. That is a definite no no.

I would say give it a rest for some time, but if it makes you feel better then go to your doctor. I am sure you would be up and running in a couple of weeks or so.

Was (july 07): 5.25 nbp (5.9 bp)X 4.5

July 10 :6.15 nbp (6.65 bp)X 4.8

Goal: 6.75 nbp (7.1 bp) x 5.1 Final goal : 7.25 nbp x 5.3

If this happened from doing only 40 jelq strokes it could have just as easily occurred from a rompy ride in the sack. Seems like you had a weak link in the chain waiting for an excuse to break.

Whether to see a doctor is your call.

Assuming this is a nerve injury, which it sounds like, the good news is most heal up good as new. The bad news is that full recovery can require a considerable length of time — weeks to months. I understand your worry. I’ve been there myself. It is very disconcerting to experience numbness, especially when it doesn’t seem to be improving in what you’d think is a reasonable time frame.

In my case, the initial condition (not completely numb, but greatly reduced sensation) persisted for, if I’m remembering correctly, weeks before feeling began to improve. Improvement was then so gradual that I’d question whether it was actually occurring. Eventually, it did. Got back to 100%, and I continued PEing for a long time after that with no further nerve issues.

Don’t start a PE program yet. Allow your penis to recover. But, don’t let this episode scare you away from PE in the future. When you eventually start, consider using an overhand grip to jelq. I’ve never cared for the underhand grip, which is what I’m guessing the program demonstrated.

Thanks Hobby.

Thanks to everyone else too.

Hey willy wonka, you don’t need a doctor right now because probably they would say your normal even if your not. I was in the very same situation several moths ago. It freaked the hell out of me because everything except the glans was numb. My orgasms were down the toilet as well. And like you, jelqing too hard was the one responsible for my injury. It freaked me out more when after one week it was still the same. All I did was to stop PE altogether for 6 months and voila! everything went back to normal again. I got my old sensations back. It was a great relief to be honest. The thing is, you’ve done some damage to your nerves and they need time, sometimes a lot of time to recover. But don’t worry too much, it will heal I promise you. Doing some hot compress won’t hurt either. Also, try not to jack off for a week or two if you can. I know it’s damn hard but it can speed up the process of healing trust me. Please keep us updated.

I think you have to take rest and take a look on routine
New newbie routine

And always remember be it slowly and steady
You have only one dick

Please do not break your willy, wonka.
