Generating Awareness about Hard Flaccid

Generating Awareness about Hard Flaccid

As people continue to confront the 99.9% failure rate of pelvic floor therapy and relaxation techniques for treating Hard Flaccid, interest has grown exponentially in generating mainstream awareness about this injury. It has been shown over and over again from countless real world experiences that, in addition to knowing very little about the pelvic floor itself, mainstream urology is limited in its options to treat and pinpoint sexual issues- offering only a doppler checking the rate of blood flowing in and out, pills, injections, or an implant (although some with Hard Flaccid have requested to have the doppler done while standing up, and have been able to confirm bloodflow issues- which is definitely a start and step in the right direction).

In the mess of an injury sub forum on another forum, I ran into a very inspiring post that was rapidly fading into the shuffle and getting very little attention, and thought it deserved to be shared.

Here is what he had to say (showing that progress towards real interest is possible, so do not give in!) -

"Maybe its not the correct category to write this but i am happy to announce my doctor take my complaints serious and officially listed an article about Hard flaccid after making researches by group of doctors.

https://www.nat ure.com/article … 1443-019-0151-x

We had very long discussions with him face to face and by emails. Even though he could not find anything wrong or provide solutions, he took my complaints serious and made a research on that after several months.

Even though the article does not provide a solution i believe its a good start to find an official solution.

Personally i have visited a lot of urologist and many of you did and most of them said there is nothing wrong with the penis but all in your head. So i hope for the future doctors will take this seriously and can provide a solution.

Personally i have improvements on my case since after i started stretches but could not resolve %100 yet."

An analysis of what guys who have hard flaccid say in forums. How enlightening. Hell all you have to do is read one as they all say they same thing.
Now real studies, not gathering up data about what guys talk about,say things like this

;Stress is a key risk factor for the development of this condition by way of causing prolonged contraction of the muscles of the pelvic floor. Stress can be triggered by an injury directly to the penis during sexual intercourse or masturbation, or stress secondary to psychosocial distress in the absence of injury.

Stress hmm interesting. Then there’s stuff like this;

The psychosocial factors contributing to the development of this syndrome are related to the psychosexual nature of the condition. Men report deterioration or recurrence of symptoms at times of elevated stress. It is not uncommon at presentation for men to be trapped in a vicious cycle. They can often agonise about the future leading to extreme levels of stress and anxiety, triggering more sympathetic stimulation to the pelvis. Men can become fixated, performing regular attentive self-examination to the area which may be hypersensitive. This results in further muscle spasm and exacerbation of symptoms. A possible explanation why men catastrophise is that they frequently blame themselves for past events such as excessive masturbation or sexual techniques, which may be totally unrelated. Their overall perception of body image changes as they become hyperaware of their sexual organ. They feel suboptimal and this in turn results in altered libido and an aversion to sexual encounters. Over time chronically elevated levels of cortisol can lead to lowered testosterone levels which can alter libido and sexual performance. This can lead to the perception of loss of masculinity [6-11].

Gee now don’t that sound familiar? And then there’s this;

The most important step in the management of this condition is continued reassurance that physically there is nothing functionally wrong with the penis and that this is a chronic pain syndrome.

Boy it sounds like I read this before. Oh the mechanism?

One of the biological theories proposed to explain the relationship between stress and the development of hard flaccid syndrome is as follows:

Initial stress, be it physical or psychological, triggers an abnormal fight or flight response resulting in increased sympathetic stimulation to the muscles of the pelvis via the perineal branch of the pudendal nerve.
A surge of adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol is released from the afferent nerve fibres promoting increased blood flow to the bulbospongiosus, ischiocavernous muscle and levator ani muscles as well as sustained muscle contraction.
Sustained contraction of the ischiocavernosus and bulbocavernosus muscle results in obstructed venous outflow from the penis via compression of the deep dorsal vein. This process is likely to be responsible for the semi-engorged penis in the flaccid state.
Prolonged contraction of the muscles results in pelvic myoneuropathy secondary to neurogenic inflammation. The muscles physically lose their ability to relax, remaining contracted

Okay chew on that for a while. Especially the part where it states there is nothing wrong with your penis.

Can you link the so called real study?

Anyone that wants to read it can send me a message, except you. Not all the fond of you.

I’ll save them the trouble.

This is not a study at all but an article, which also sites multiple internet forums as their sources. They are just repeated the same 99.9% failure rate information that anyone else who doesn’t know much about this issue has been repeating because that’s the first thing they are bombarded with when searching about it on google.

The point of what I re- posted was to show that someone was able to garner the interest of urologists being open towards understandings things further- a path towards growing medical interest and potential solutions.

False hope is cheap. I could make up a bunch of lies tomorrow about a new treatment. I could make my own protocol and even write a book. Any shameless liar can do those things. I would probably get a lot of attention and tons of men would feel compelled to try it _just in case_. Msny people would go around repeating it, because at least it was something. But I’m going to keep holding out for real awareness and the pursuit of real answers.

It IS possible to get urologists to take this seriously, and if enough people can do what this guy did, we can come much closer towards getting actual results.
