Firm flaccid penis

But my symptoms dont describe yours to 100% I have no problems in achieving a erection with stimulation or with “brain” stimulation, and my penis is warm almost all the time.

Also… aggrevate the back seems to worsen my symptoms which including, lifting, running and do wierd movements. Sitting and laying down never cause any stiffness and turtling, I think it could be that in some positions the discs compresses more on the nerve roots than others.

But I can describe this symptom as torture, it’s extremely uncomfortable and there are times when I feel to give up my life.

No, this does not sound weird at all. In my opinion, and it is only an opinion, most sciatica is brought on or at least made worse by muscle spasm. And while muscle spasm is often the result of a sudden trauma, after the trauma has passed, it is psychological stress and tension that keep it there. Of course there are professionals who can help with this.

The loss of sensation in my penis shaft strengthen the theory that this is nerve related, and just because it contracts more in different seats then I think it’s more likely that my nerves in the back are the problem instead of the nerves in the penis.. just a theory, I have seen some improvements but the sensation have not returned, while im experience some loss of sensation in my buttock, legs and feets I think all this is related..

Just my guess but that would point to tension around the lower vertebra. Your whole “undercarriage” sounds like it’s tense to me.

Marky777 pm’ed me to come over here and comment. First of all, I am a Chiropractor with over 20 years experience, so I have some credentials.

Yes, pinched nerves can effect that area, and create a spasm, or make the muscle very easily spasmed.

I had a woman patient years ago that came in for low back pain (sacrum IIRC) and after it cleared up she asked if it could effect that area. I asked why was she asking and she related that for years, sex had always been painful for her, in that the vagina would be spasmed. After getting her sacrum corrected, that condition also cleared up.

I have had men in the past that were getting groin and scrotal pain and I believe it was apx T12-L1 region, but not sure if I remember that correctly.

So, I’m not sure what area of the spine would effect what you are talking about, but it would be worth while to find a Chiro that is very good ( not all Chiros are, just as not all MDs are good at what they do) and have him palpate your lumbar spine, sacrum and even up to the lower thoracic region and see if there are vertebrae that are “stuck” and possibly pinching a nerve.

I’m imagining that if there is a pinched nerve, then it’s in/around the penis itself.

Most people with the problem describe an apparently innocuous little pop at the base of the member, just before the terrifying shrinking and hardness. No one knows what it is, I’ve spent a year contacting all sorts of medical types online. It’s not in my head, as I have physical pain at times.

I’m not getting anywhere, starting to get embarrassed going on about it.

You must never give up.

I can’t be sure, but I would say a nerve compression is far more likely in the lower vertebra or within the pelvis. This phenomenon is called referred pain. It means that the injury is in one place, but the pain is felt somewhere else.

Exactly, why does it not contracts when im sitting down? but suddenly it does when I start to lift things and also running makes it contracts, how would a pinched nerve in the penis cause that affect? I can’t see how it could, more likely that the nerves compresses more when you aggrevate your back..

I never felt any pain, have starting to lose sensation in my lower part of the body, significant? yes

Well it’s worth to check it up, I will do it I know this wont solve itself..

Did you hurt your back? Do you old back injuries or sciatica?
Do you ride a bicycle a lot or have in the past?

I have played football in my whole life, and I also experience a little lower back pain which radiates pain down my legs which are usual when you have a disc herniation, I don’t know if this are related but it’s a very good possibility.

A tense muscle in the pelvic region, is like a taught rope. It will press on other things more in some positions than in others. The inside of your body is complex.

I have been experiencing the same problems. I heard what seemed to be an innocuous pop at the left dorsal base of the penis after stretching. My penis is now hard and turtles when flaccid, when I stand up. When I’m sitting or lying down, it’s not as hard. My penis is sore if I try to squeeze it. I also have a pain like a pulled muscle in the perineum, but I believe this was from a separate incident. I’ve seen two urologists in the past two days and they both told me absolutely nothing is wrong. Actually, today there were two urologists that saw me and they both were kind of laughing at my concerns and told me to wait a month and it will heal.

I have a terrible feeling that this is not going to be healed in a month. I am trying to gather a group of people with similar symptoms so that we can all go to a special doctor and request some serious tests and investigation. By special I mean a center that solely focuses on innovative treatments for penile trauma. I know that Cornell has a fairly good center but I will do more research. THERE IS POWER IN NUMBERS AND I FEEL THAT THIS IS THE ONLY WAY ANY OF THESE UROLOGISTS WILL BELIEVE OUR CONDITION IS REAL.

I really feel like I severed a blood vessel and that was the popping sound that I heard. I used to have two PROMINENT veins that came from the center base dorsally and then each wrapped around the sides to the underside of the penis where they ran up towards the glans. The one on the left where I heard the pop is now gone.

I have tried to explain this to the urologists but they will not listen to me. They say that the vessels that cause an erection are deep within the penis. I have a feeling that the subcutaneous arteries that I am referring to might be responsible for supplying blood to the penis while flaccid. This is why the penis turtles because it is not receiving enough blood flow in a soft flaccid state. It turtles so the entire penis can be oxygenated while in the flaccid state.

All the urologists say that if a vessel ruptured your penis would swell up like a balloon and you would see discoloration. I really believe they are referring to symptoms of a broken penis in which a large artery is ruptured and blood fills the penis. These arteries are not as large and I believe that they can clot more easily which keeps these swelling and discoloration symptoms from appearing.

PLEASE FIND ANYONE WITH THESE SYMPTOMS AND HAVE THEM REPORT TO THIS THREAD. Like I said I have a sick feeling that this is not going to be better within a month, and I want to have an army of people with similar symptoms that can all stick up for each other. I will check back to this thread on a daily basis. Hopefully people will respond over time.

Like most others I cannot get this out of my head and it is beginning to drive me absolutely crazy. The fact that no one believes me when I try to explain this to them is even worse. I know I don’t have an MD but I’m not an idiot and can understand the basics of anatomy and physiology.

Please respond and search for others to refer to this thread. Thank you.

I don’t believe this is a severed blood vessel. I think it is either :

1)A muscle in spasm.
2)A muscle that has been pulled out of place and is locked in spasm as well (so it will never be able to move back, until the spasm is released).
3)A ligament injury of some sort.(But they are very strong, so it’s hard to imagine)

All the above are just guesses. But a severed blood vessel would leak blood everywhere internally, you would expect to see discolouration.

How are your erections?

I'm fed up of having a signature!

I don’t have spasms. My erections are soft and rubbery. I can’t get rock hard although I haven’t tried because the whole area is sore/tender.

I have been doing some serious research but I need to do some further study on the topic.

OK, I won’t use caps.
