Deflated Glans and Firm Flaccid: Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

So I just wonder whether the pelvic floor muscle issue would cause exactly the same symptoms as a leak. Most people, I think, were not using MDMA when they first started getting these symtpoms, though I did find a story online about a guy who’s story pretty much matches mine after masturbating for an extended period of time after MDMA and cannabis, except his symptoms were much worse.

If it is neurologic in my case, I would think that it would be neurologic for everyone, perhaps? Also, perhaps, ligation of veins could possibly mask the soft glans/CS syndrome by simply reducing the ammount of efferent blood flow from the penis so dramatically that even a weakened pelvic floor muscle won’t be noticeable.

I just read Yataghan’s post again and he said he had the disconnect feeling when attempting kegels. With the procedure however his kegel’s normalized so maybe even if it is a pelvic floor dysfuction problem, just by keeping blood in the penis the pelvic floor will normalize. I just now for myself it is an extremely weak base of the penis that is causing most of my problems.

My problem that I realize as well now I have been seeing urologists and they tend to move my penis in weird directions when examining me. Since I have problems at the base of the penis these movements actually will make it difficult for me to get an erection for a week or two until things heal properly. I believe in my case the penis suspensory ligament might be damaged as well.

As far as I can tell, the only solution to this problem is determining where the leak or leaks are occuring and them ligating them. I would have seen a urologist but I’d be worried they’d tell me after such an operation (which would be difficult to get them to do anyway I think) it would not be safe to PE anymore and that if they suspected I would anyway, would be unwilling to perform the procedure.

There was a guy who made an interesting comment on one of these soft glan threads, maybe it was one of Yataghan’s. He said something like “hey seems a lot of you young guys have this problem…” then described how he had it, and had it corrected surgically. Surgeon made a comment to the effect that it was unlikely caused by PE, and I believe the guy was still doing PE. Wish I could remember where I read that. Even more, wish I knew where these guys find Dr.s who actually have a clue about this!

Tweaking, I read all your post on this thread and I may have missed it. If you squeeze your glans do they have a hard core?

Last night I noticed for the first time my glans did not seem hard and when I squeezed them I had a hard core.

This morning I had the same thing with my morning wood.

My wife did not notice so maybe it’s in my head? But it sure does not seem normal.

Thanks.

A hard core? Do you mean the inner part of it felt hard? If so, then yes, I do experience this, however I do not think it indicates that the problem is localised within the glans, I think it is just a causal symptom of being able to feel the hard shaft through the glans due to them being not properly ‘inflated’.

Yes that is what I meant.

I guess I have some reading to do and I will stop PE for now.

Has anyone ever had this improve on it’s own? I really have not been following the threads. Guess I thought I was bullet proof.

I do not believe stopping PE will make any difference. Just my opinion though.

Yes there is a lot of reading on this subject, and unfortuantely it’s mostly VERY vague and scattered. That’s why I made this thread, but now even this thread is getting pretty big with lots of different discussions about various things. The Firm Flaccid penis thread is 77 pages long I think, but there is some good stuff in there, I’m only up to about 15 I think and haven’t looked at it for a while.

In terms of research on the web using say, google, it’s neigh on impossible to find anything useful, though in this thread there are several excellent links to actual doctors discussing and theorising about this exact problem. Worth a look.

I don’t think it’s from PE either. I have really done nothing except maybe not kegeling like I used to.

Also it was not as bad last night or this morning.

It is nothing like I thought you guys where describing or maybe I don’t have it as bad?

I have been pretty busy today but I will get to reading tonight.

So your glans has changed recently?

I'm a big fan of 50 Cent, or as we call him in Zimbabwe, four hundred million dollars.

Yes recently.

Let me give you the full history.

The firm flaccid has been like that for months, since starting PE again. No big deal I don’t think its related at least not in my case?

The last 3 weeks I have been eating like shit because I have been busy and some days fast food is the only thing I have time for. I have also started smoking over a pack a day of cigarettes. I was down to 5 cigarettes some days. Also I have not been drinking water like I should. I have gotten hooked on diet Dr Pepper. I have not been hitting the weights hard for about a month. And last I have been eating 2 strawberry ice pops daily. The kind with fruit in them.

I have already posted but I will say it again I did nothing crazy with my PE. About the only real change there, was not doing kegels like I should.

When this happened I cut WAY back on cigarettes, started eating right and drinking water instead if 10 diet drinks a day.

I have gotten better daily. Last night it was normal during a blow job. Once we started having sex it started to go soft but nothing like it was the first night I noticed it. It was firmer.

Even when it first happened it was not like I thought some guys describe. My glans inflated normal but they where soft with a hard core in them. In other words my penis looked the same as always. Just felt different. Sex was the same as always.

Anyway I see a recovery coming fast. I don’t think I am having the same trouble some of the other guys are having.

I think I am more in-tune with my penis now than ever and for all I know it was like this when I first joined this site over weight and out of shape. This could be some type of ED caused from not eating right? I really think it is.

I am not at all worried like I was when I first noticed it.

You may have said it earlier in the thread, but I don’t remember—if you had to guess, exactly what activity that you were engaged in do you suspect as the cause?

I had noticeable improvement, but not back to the way it was, after stopping PE for a while. And when resuming I engaged only in pumping because I was concerned that jelqing may have been the cause. But that’s only a guess.

current: 6.7 NBPEL / 7.0 BPEL, 4.95 MEG/5.2 Base EG

Masturbating while under the influence of MDMA and cannabis, for an extended period of time (hours) while using a cock ring, is what I suspected to be the cause of this problem for me.

I just noticed this thread. It’s an old one but the guy ‘created’ a little known exercise, ‘The Mash’, which is designed to increase blood flow to the glans. Glans circulation problem? Try this.

This is a circulation and tension problem.

The reason the penis feels firm when it is flaccid is because the corpus cavernosa is tensed and is deflated of the blood which normally provides the spongy softness.

If you attempt to get an erection in this tensed state, you can achieve one, but it will be decreased in size due to the internal tension.

Pooper could you expand on this? Causes, pathology, treatment??

It does not seem to be a physical issue, but more like a psychological one based around anxiety/depression (either or) and mood/relaxation. I believe it to be similar in manifestation to where sometimes one’s penis seems to shrink when it is time to measure it, performance anxiety causing ED, and depression causing a lack of sexual arousal.

Penises have been known to contract after PE as a natural physical response, this can cause anxiety. Persistent muscle tension is a known symptom of anxiety. Anxiety has also been known to cause cold hands/feet due to lack of blood flow to the extremities, including the penis.

To prove further that it is caused by a lack of blood flow, think about how the penis normally shrinks into a firm flaccid states when exposed to cold.

As far as treatment goes, think about the usual non-medicated treatment of depersonalization/derealization. Both of those disorders are caused by high levels of anxiety. They are persistent disorders. These are usually cured when the person suffering learns to surrender to their disorder, and eventually stop worrying about it, and by it’s own nature it will disappear.

Here is a link: http://www.articlesbase.com/non-fic…tion-29376.html

To conclude, it seems as though firm-flaccid can be seen as persistent performance anxiety, which can be overcome by removing all anxiety and tension surrounding the issue and becoming relaxed. Do not think about the issue, or ever remind yourself of it, and it will disappear. Do not even take note of state of the state of your penises while pissing, this wouldn’t be considered normal had you not heard of this issue, and is a sign of anxiety. If you still have the urge to check your penis, you still have the anxiety.

The link is not working because of this stupid spell checker automatically correcting the URL. If you click on it you have to change the I in URL where it says “how-I-overcame” to a lower case I.
