It doesn’t really seem to happen that often, at least not to were it is that noticeable. I generally see it if I use lubricant. If I do it dry I don’t see a BIG bulge. By the way, I don’t use clamps so that might help prevent it to some degree. I don’t think you really need to wait more than a day or so before going back to PE, your body, or more specifically your penis will tell you if you are overdoing it, you just need to listen. Of course it’s hard to hear him with that little mouth he has. :)

I took two days off, then went back to PE, doing nothing more than some Jelqs (medium pressure) and guess what? The Bulge started to return. So I stopped immediatly. Guess I’ll take some more time off, then see what happens. :(

Instead of Jelqs try other exercises such as stretching, just keep any pressure buildup to a minimum. If it is fluid building up I would think it might help if you kept up some type of exercise or it might be sore longer. I did and it went away and as I said before I don’t have a real problem with it. Did you say you used clamps? I don’t use them so maybe that’s the difference.

Thanks Travelguy, I will take your advice and stick to stretching for a while. I do not use clamps, I got the bulge while doing Ulis.

So, I have taken almost two weeks off (well after the swelling had subsided and disappeared). Yesterday I went back to PE’ing I did about 3minutes of light jelqing, and almost immediatly the swelling reappeared. I don’t know what to do. Have I injured myself permanently? will I ever be able to get back to PE’ing?

I had been making good gains, and now I feel at a loss?

Any advice is welcome.

You are describing my experience with thrombosed veins. When one clogs the first thing I notice is localized skin puffiness. See if you can feel a hard vein. Sometimes it’s difficult to pinpoint until the swelling subsides enough.

In my case the vein usually clears within several days (3-6), but remains extremely prone to clogging again. Sometimes it will be ok for a PE session or several, then the cumulative stress catches up and it plugs.

If you are dealing with the same thing you might be able to alter your PE approach to work around it. Or maybe not. These can be extremely frustrating and take a long time to heal.

It won’t heal if you keep aggravating it, so resist the urge even if it means taking more time off than you’d like. I fought with one of these for a long time before giving up. 1-3 days of hanging made the vein clog. After a week or so off it would clear. Hang again for a day or two, rest most of a week, hang again and so on. I wasn’t in the mood to take a break. I was able to work around other thrombosed veins until they eventually fully healed, but this one was right where the hanger attaches. Finally I realized I was spinning my wheels by continually aggravating the injury while not hanging enough for a gain.

I did some research and found out that the build up of Lymphatic fluid in the penis is known as ‘Penile Lymphedema’. It is caused by the blockage of one or more of the vessels that are responsible for draining the lymphatic fluid out of the penis. The blockeg can be caused by trauma or strangulation of the penis.
