Long cylinders better for length,short for girth?

I am curious if anyone has experienced using shorter cylinders vs. longer cylinders?
I have read a few people say that the shorter cylinders are better for girth, while the longer cylinders seem to help with length.

I was questioning if this was true.As someone who is after girth,I was pondering rather I should get a 9 inch cylinder, or follow Advocet’s recommendation of 10 inches.
I know that Advocet has many hours and experience in pumping,but I am wondering if he has experienced shorter cylinders and if the girth is larger as opposed to longer cylinders.

So what are your experiences with shorter vs. longer cylinders?

From personsl experience I don’t think the length matters,unless you are packing the full length of the cylinder.

If you are wanting mainly girth,I would say the diameter is more important.

If you pack a cylinder girthways,then the pressure is more for length because you cannot expand the girth anymore.

In my 2”x10” cylinder,I can easily pack the cylinder with girth.

I also have a 2-1/4”x12” cylinder.I do not pack the girth at all,therefore I have room to expand not only the girth but also a small amount for length.(I wish)

I am the same size in both cylinders,but I look bigger in the smaller one.

As has been said, it’s the diameter of the cylinder which is the most critical in making girth vs length gains.
Most quality cylinders are at least 9” in length and can vary up to 12”, which should cover the length expansion of most men.

If you want more length, choose a diameter cylinder slightly bigger than your max girth size erect. If you want more girth, then start with an appropriate diameter cylinder and use it until you “pack” the length of the tube fully. Then move up in size another 1/4 ” in diameter until you can “pack” this tube fully, etc.
