Is cylinder size important?

Is cylinder size important?

Hello

I am looking into buying a pump, I have zero experience and knowledge with them.
Can anyone give me some advice? For example, why is cylinder width important? I see people wanting 2.25", but not 2.5" since it is to "large". Why? How does it work? Does the girth have to fit perfectly?

Cylinder sizing is extremely important. Too small and you either can’t fit inside it or your expansion is restricted.

Too big and you can’t get a good seal and/or your scrotum gets sucked in, which isn’t fun.

You can size a cylinder to be more aimed at length, so you expand fairly quickly in the session to ‘pack’ the tube and thus have more elongation, or you can size for girth where you have more room to expand. Some guys have a staged approach, where they start in a smaller diameter tube and then move to a wider one once they’ve expanded some.

Pumping can be really valuable for increasing size and EQ. It can also be done poorly, with too much edema in the skin, petechiae and bruising of the skin and blisters that result in having to take breaks from PE to heal or cause ED.

I suggest you spend some time reading about it on the forum here to get some idea of what you’re getting into before you purchase something that you end up disappointed with. It’s worth the investment in a little time to get it right the first time.

There’s a whole section of the forum dedicated to pumping. You can start with this, though:

Selecting Your Cylinder Size

Rock out with your cock out!

Size is sure important like @tenaciousD described. I use tube size that I can pack during the second set of my routine. So, basically first half of routine is girth expansion, second half length.

Do ask if you have more questions concerning your pumping journey (also PM accepted). Pumping is not necessarily most effective form of PE, but for me by far most addicting and that’s what makes it gold.

Also, you can use wider cylinders for girth and more narrow ones for length. Makes a difference.

I’m slightly over 5" girth (7.25x5.1) and I’m more interested in girth than length, I figure I’ll get some length just from girth work. I also have an upward curve. Slipped a 2" PVC over an erection and I don’t hit the top, but it feels about right. I do NOT want to get edema.

Should I get the 2" cylinder or the 1.75" cylinder?

Hi Vintage!
I think for your girth you should get a 1.75" and then upgrade to a 2".
I wish you a good girth increase and keep us posted, cheers

Girth gains are very slow, and a properly-fitting tube will reduce "the donut", which will allow pumping at higher vacuum and/or longer times.

It might be annoying to have to purchase another tube a year or two from now, but it saves a lot of the hassle of trying to work with an oversize tube.

Remember, you need to size the tube for your girth *now*, not the size you want to be later.

Thank you all!

I do have another question. In looking at the tubes, I see 9" and 12" lengths available. Why would you choose one over another?

Since a 9" shaft is larger than 99.99% of all penises according to the chart at calcsd.info, my best guess is it’s simply marketing; trying to imply that you could grow into a 12" tube. Which is *theoretically* possible, but I wouldn’t make any bets on it.

Ended up making 2 myself (1.75" and 2.00") and both tubes I purchased were 12". Stupid long, but I didn’t want to cut them.

As others have stated cylinder width is very important to get right, to small and you can’t get a good stretch and have no room to expand, to big you will get a donut like bulge at the base and balls sucked into the tube.

As far as length of the tube goes if you have an inch left to grow lengthwise you will be able to use that tube for a long time. length gains are faster than girth, but 1 inch takes a very long time for most.

Also consider cleaning a 7,9,12 inch tube. This is more of a pain as the tube gets longer so getting a size you don’t need adds to your cleanup time.
