I need some advice on Pump & Cylinder Compatibility

I want to begin pumping and am considering purchasing cylinders for both the head (to increase my head size) as well as a regular cylinder for girth gains.

The only head-cylinders I’ve found are from the Dr. Joel Kaplan line of pumps and accessories,

If I buy a Dr. Joel Kaplan head cylinder and a regular cylinder from another company will I need two pumps (one for each cylinder) or is there cross-compatiblity?

Please please help. I need enough information to make a purchase.

The connectors are common between the companies, so one pump will fit all.

gprent, thanks.

Is there a recommended or prefered manufacturer or manufacturers?

Which manufacturers are generally recommended?

Haven’t we covered this before? I prefer lapdist. They offer an all metal brass pump with gauge and they also have a version of the mushroom head cylinder. Just scroll about halfway down this page. All the way down and you will see what the connectors look like:

I want to pump only for girth and have a few more questions (I’ve numbered them, just to clarify things and hopefully make things easier):

1. What’s the largest cylinder I should be using in terms of diameter?

…but I’m wondering what the maximum effective difference is. (e.g. my erect girth is 5" (approx. 1.5" in diameter), could I use a 2.5 inch diameter cylinder effectively, or should I stick with a 2" diameter cylinder?

Or could I use an even bigger cylinder, say 3" or 3.5" or larger?

2. If I’m concentrating on girth would I need to change for a larger tube as soon as I fill the one I’m using?

3. When using a Mushroom Head Maker Cylinder would I need to completely fill the lower section of the tube to concentrate the vacuum on the head? If so, would it be better to use a Head Enlarger
