Cylinder size and Lubricant

I need some help with sizing for the cylinder. I’m going with a 1 3/4” diameter, but am not sure which length would be appropriate. I’m 7.5” right now.

I’m wondering about lubricant options as well. I’ve read a few threads regarding Olive Oil, water based lubes (KY) and using vaseline as a good base lube for a great seal. I’ve made a few batched of the eroset vein oil and I think this would be interesting to test while pumping as it improves ciculation and helps with bruising. Which would be best to use straight away? I think the eroset oil would be a good option once I get into pumping, but maybe some of you vets can help with this.

I was also wondering about warm-ups. Is it best to use a wet or dry warm up (hot water or heating pad)?

I don’t think the length is as important as getting the right diameter. Most cylinders are 9 or 10 inches so it will give you plenty room to gain. Measure your current girth, calculate the diameter, then buy an appropriate sized cylinder.

If my mathematics are correct, a 1.75” cylinder will fit a girth of 5.5” which seems a little narrow for someone of your length. A 2” cylinder will fit girth of 6.3”.

As for warm ups and oil, water based lubricant is best. I use baby oil and it works OK, and many use a rice sock or heating pad for warm up. Although having a bath works well too.

Hope that helps,
Vincenzo

For me, the best and most hassle free lube is KY, or the Target or Wal Mart generic brand of water based lube that sells for have the price of KY. The secret of using a water based lube is to have a bowl of warm water near by to refresh the lube as necessary to keep it really slick. Clean up is a snap using just warm water and a bottle brush for the inside of the cylinder.

I think you are taking a chance with a 1.75 inch tube. If you remember your math : C(circumference) =pi times diameter ( pi being 3.1416). so you are saying that your circumference is 5.5 inches. That ‘s not too big for a circumference. Suggest you measure your circumference when erect, do the math and order your tube. All tubes a Boston Pump Adult Sex Toys - buy penis pump, penis enlargement packages, clitoral pump, toys for men at bostonpump.com are nine inches long ,but personally I think you will be quite happy with an 8 inch tube.
Be sure not to order a tube with too large a diameter or you may suck a testicle in there and believe me— that’s a BIG ouch.

Let’s assume your erect circumference is 7 inches. 7 divided by 3.1416 =2.23 inches diameter, so you would then order the 2.5 inch tube. I doubt very much that your circumference will be that hi based on the diameter you are talking about just be careful not to get a tube too big.

Boxcar reminds me millionman, that we have discussed cylinder size before. I thought that based on your girth of 5.5 inches, that everyone recommended a cylinder size of 2” for you. You will pack a 1.75” cylinder immediately and have no room to grow.

This is a sugggested technique for growing length i.e. restraining physically all growth except longitudinal. I’ve been thinking that this might be a plus to combine with hanging. Any ideas?

Use simple hand moisturizing cream. You can leave it on afterwards, helps keep your skin healthier, smells nice, cheap. For the most part also easy to wash out of the cylinder.

If you have 5.4-6.0 get the 2 inch diameter cylinder. Length, just get one thats at least 1 inch more than your BPEL, most have 2 inches or more standard. If your shaft fills the tube, it would only serve to put the vacuum on the glans. I am not one of those people who believes that this technique will make the shaft longer.

BEFORE 5.75 EL 4.8 EG Vagina Length Database

NOW 32yrs old 8.5 BPSL 7.75 BPEL 5.5-5.75-6.25* upper/mid/base EG 5.0 BPFL glans tip 5.0 FG shaft Hang, Stretch, Jelq, Pump, Clamp

Goal 8.0 EL 6.0 EG Asian - Thai 5' 10" uncircumcised

If you’re going to hang anyway, what would be the benefit to pumping for length? I only ask because it strikes me that the primary benefit of pumping [and I do believe there are many] is that it can stress the CC latitudinally, while the longitudinal aspect can be got at more readily by hanging.

From what I understand Siam’s notes are the standard.

I personally use only water as lubricant, by filling a mug with warm water and pumping it up almost the length of the tube. With both the tube and my unit freshly immersed in warm water I have pretty much all the seal I need. And it sure does make post-pump clean-up a breeze.

My BPFSL is 8.25. I thought the primary reason for sizing the tube correctly according to the girth numbers from the La Dist. site was for the best seal possible. Is this not correct?

I’m going to try KY or the cheaper version from walmart etc, and use vaseline to improve the seal at the base of the tube.

Does anyone have any guidelines of using hot water in between the pump/jelq method? When I do girth work I usually submerge my penis in the hot water between my clamping sessions or a certain number of manual supersets. I would assume that this would be no different here, as I would just do the hot water treatment before reentering the tube for the next set, and this would also “refresh” the ky for the next set as well. Any thoughts?

Would it be good to start off a routine with pumping and jelqing or just pumping for the first few weeks?

I have always had a sneaking suspicion that the pump manufactures based their size recommendations on them selling the maximum amount of cylinders. If you buy that 1.75” diameter, I am almost positive you will be anxious to buy a 2” almost right away and presto chango, lapdist has sold you 2 cylinders.

I still think the 9”X2” is the right size, but if you feel the length might get you in trouble, order the 10”X2”. Just enter the tube with an erection or near an erection, and the 2” tube won’t give you any sealing problems.

GPRENT, I was a bit concerned about cylinder length and the signifigance in the seal. Is there any? I may just go ahead and buy the 9” since if I grow to over 8” which is the plan I’ll still have room, but when would it be important to move up a cylinder size?

I started with an 9x1.75 cyl from LAPump, went to a 10x2 almost immediately as gprent pointed out and then to a 10x2.25.

My base girth is ~6+ with a taper to 5.5 at the corona. I found that “milking” with the 2” cyl produced much greater lymph buildup and a tendency to “donut”, especially at the higher pressures I find most beneficial, With the 2.25” cyl I still get a perfect seal against my abdomen (shave) and very little lymphing.

For a lube I use either spit (yep, no shit) or KY depending on the length of the session. I’ve found that shorter (5 minutes or less) at a higher pressure 2-3 times a day seems to work better than a marathon of 30 minutes. Those longer sessions tended to leave the ol’ unit feeling a bit wrung out.

It's better to think you're doing something than to sit back and wonder what might have been Start: 12/2003 EBPL: 7 15/16 EG: 5 1/4 Now: 12/2004 EBPL: 8 1/2 EG: 5 5/8 (pumped is 5 7/8 mid, 6.25 base) FL: 6.25

The most common need to move up in cylinder size is after you pack your current tube girth-wise on a consistent basis. Packing is when you totally fill up the tube girth-wise. So do the math. 1.75” diameter times 3.14159 equals 5.5” circumference. So, with your 5.5 inch girth, you would be packing a 1.75” tube right away and after you pack a tube, it’s time to move up a size to guess what? A 2” tube.

From the length standpoint, as long as the tip of your cock doesn’t hit the end of the tube, it doesn’t matter if you have a 9” tube or a 20” tube.

But I always thought that was the point? Whether pumping, jelqing, hanging or stretching, that ‘wrung out’ feeling has always been part of the objective, if only as an indicator of a mission accomplished.

Not the same for you?

I like, when possible, to get laid once a day at least and PE sometimes interferes with that if I over do it, i.e., softer erections and difficulty with orgasm. I have been known to pump, then clamp, then have sex (still clamped)….and the look on her face is worth it!
