Isolating BC from PC during kegels

Isolating BC from PC during kegels

I’ve been doing kegel exercixes for a while, but after reading one of the recent articles, I’ve realised that I’ve always been contracting the BC and PC muscles together. Much as I’ve tried, I can’t seem to get them to contract seperately.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get these two muscles to move independantly?

One of the functions of the pubococcygeus (PC) muscles (there are two, one on each side) is to pull in the rectum/anus after a bowel movement. If you’re contracting things hard enough to feel it in your anus, then you’re contracting the PC. Try a few very slow contractions and stop just before the anus starts to contract. The BC is one of the first things to start contracting during a Kegel.

I think I can contract them as independently as possible.

For BC muscle, try to feel the contraction coming closer to the base of your penis. When I contract that muscle, I even feel some nice sensation flowing inside my penis, maybe this is blood or just the feeling of the contraction. You just need to contract soft for this, nothing hard is needed.

I’ve tried doing it softly, but even the smallest movement causes the PC to move as well. It seems like they have become linked in my brain.

If that’s the case, then just do them. It won’t hurt anything to contract both.

Do them whilst erect. That will make all the difference in being able to seperate the two. Masterbate whilst doing BC squeezes.

It is good to occasionally work your PC muscle aswel, as it helps with bowel movements and I know this is going to sound nasty, but sometimes, I have a tough time pushing a fat, rock hard turd out and it is stuck. Using the PC to repeatedly squeeze the turd thinner whilst it is at the entrance of the asshole, then pull it back in, then push it to the entrance again whilst squeezing it thinner, really helps it come out. lol. There is nothing worse than a big painful brick that won’t come out! It isn’t pretty, but it is reality.

Hi mate, I know it’s an old post but I am a tad confused :|

On your post Locating the bc muscle it explains that there is miss-conception of the term “BC” muscle with the term “PC muscle” in females. I makes out that the PC muscle is pretty much the same thing but for guys it’s called the BC muscle.

I have to point out that men contract a different muscle than women when doing Kegels and it isn’t the PC (pubococcygeus). It’s actually the BC (bulbocavernosus).

But as explained on this page I am getting another story giving me the impression that a guy has both and that there’s a way to distinguish the difference between them.
As previous stated, I am very confused by all of this

If possible, may you please explain what this is about. I am hoping to start exercising my BC muscle and would like to feel satisfied that I Am exercising the correct one :)

Thanks heaps!

James

quick question….is bc like squeezeing your butthole and pulling inwards?? and pc is making your dick jump up right?
