Stretched Frenulum

I think I hurt my frenulum a while back during stretching. I’m uncut, the frenulum looks like it has been stretched a bit and bunches up a little, unlike before the incident. I can’t really give it a break because of night/morning wood. How much is too much time off? I’ve read that it may not heal and I might have to get surgery, which I want to avoid. I’ve been doing wet jelqs with low reps while holding the foreskin up for maintenance.
