I’ve been jelqing for about 2 months now and have seen no gains. Recently I’ve been told that my grip is too hard. I’m curious as to how hard and how much you pull out? Basically, I’ve been squeezing enough that I get my penis good and plump, but I’ve heard that I should be squeezing slightly less than the grip I use to masturbate. How hard is your grip? And how long do you take to complete each jelq? I just can’t fathom I’d see gains by using that light of a grip. Not going to question it but just curious as to what everyone else thinks.

Slightly “more” than grip used to masturbate. I think I may of confused you, sorry about that. I tell all newbies that so they don’t injure themselves. As you get more conditioned tighten the grip a bit but don’t choke yourself to death. If your glans turns purple or white or gets cold it is to tight.

The tightness of the grip does seem to be crucial.hard to get it right without some hands on help - excuse the pun! I did find a bit of “ribbing” below the glans after my first jelq session, not sure if that is what is being referred as to the “doughnut” effect. It’s a bit of trial and error but no-one wants to injure their penis. Steady as she goes, I guess.

It’s so weird for me to read things like “slightly more than masturbating grip” because I have always found it hard to jelq without having quite a tight grip.. But are we talking about dry or wet jelqing? But I think it’s pretty proportional (the tightness of the grip) to the % erection you have.


Start: Bpel 5.5" , EG 4.5" - 18/06/07

Now: Bpel 6.2" , EG 4.8" - 22/11/07

Goal: Bpel 6.5" , EG 5" - 01/01/08

Yeah, I also have wondered how much is too much. As everyone is saying here, if you start having discoloration, you must be doing it too rough or too hard. Then it is definitely time for at least a small break! I have only started about 3 months ago and have started to notice it having an effect on how I feel. Feels a bit bigger, more full when I am erect. But as far as how tight my grip is? Definitely more than when I masturbate! I’d say at least twice as much. I get little spots on my dick, but they have gone away, in fact, right away. Just the other day I had spots all over (small ones, mind you) and one fairly big one, about an 8th of an inch big and it literally went almost completely away inside of one day! I was shocked! I thought these little guys (the spots) took a whole 24 hours to do that. So, I guess everyone is having different experiences. Anyway, Sorry for the long post. Good luck to all!

My grip is probably tighter compared to that of a newbie. I have been doing this for quite a few years. It is best to be cautious not to over grip. Little red dots are not a problem. You should watch for cold glans, white glans. Try to avoid this if possible. A good grip provides a good plumpness to your penis.

I squeeze it hard enough to not let any of the blood I’m “pumping” escape, then release(I do one handed jelqs) kegeling at the same moment.

That makes it impossible for me to do full strokes - I have to stop the jelq about a 1-2 cms before my glans because the pressure gets too high.

I would say this is a more advance jelq for seasoned jelqers. Are you a seasoned jelqer?

That is just my opinion based only on my PE experience.
I did 4 months of Jelq in the begin with no gain. Reading a lot I found out that plain jelq does not work for some guys. I was one of them and maybe you are one too.

Luckily there are a lot of method to increase girth. I began with manual clamping.

Mark, have you made any gains with your routines? Curious as to what worked for you.

My dick isn’t conditioned now, but I do have the moves form a few years ago. I know what pressure is right, and how to apply it..
Guess that makes me somewhat seasoned?:P
