Kegel and reverse kegel.

Hi, I started to do kegel exercise about a week ago, so obviously this soon I have no idea if that will work for me or not, however..

I have been reading up on the reverse kegel, and? Very confused - Although there is allot of text on this forum, and on other sites.. There is absolutely nothing clear and coherent on this subject! Obviously I have tried to critically analyze the information I have read, and this is what I think (Although I am fairly sure I am wrong) maybe??

When I kegel I tend to contract my entire PC muscle I.e. Around my bum area (not my actual bum muscle of course) also my penis area contracts (like it pulls into my body slightly) this is right so far I take it?

So I am thinking about reverse kegel
Is it when I have enough control over my PC muscle that contracting only the penis area is possible? (As I am starting to be able to do, sorta)
I was thinking that, contracting the full PC muscle will press against my prostate so I cum quickly - if I can manage to only contract my penis - the BC area (bulbospongiosus) without the rest of the PC area, maybe I won’t stimulate the prostate area, and I will stop ejaculation? I mean I would still feel my penis contract towards my body, right? Is that a reverse kegel? And if not does my idea have any substance?

Welcome to Thunder’s! I have been here a good bit longer than you and I still have issues properly doing reverse Kegels. Here is a common way of describing Kegels and reverse Kegels: Next time you go to the bathroom to take a piss, try to stop the flow of urine and hold it back (a few drops may come out), do this a few times and hold for a second or two. That is a Kegel.

Next time you go to the bathroom or on that same trip, try to force the urine out as fast and as hard as possible. It almost feels like tissue, muscles, and blood are being forced to the head of your penis. That is a Reverse Kegel.

I used to have a very hard time feeling Kegels. I found that I could feel them much better by stretching my dick out and then performing the Kegel because I could feel the tug in my hand. You can also press a finger between your ball sack and anus and feel the muscle contract there.

I am only 100% sure I am doing reverse Kegels correctly when I am doing the bathroom trick. Kegels will get easier to feel and do as the muscle get stronger. Some new information on Thunder’s Place seems to indicate that reverse Kegels are the best exercise to control ejaculation.

Sorry, I don’t know whether or not your idea holds any substance, it does sound interesting. Hopefully, someone who does know can chime in.

In that case I am fairly sure my kegels are correct, but obviously my thoughts on what reverse kegels are is completely wrong - I will drink allot of water tonight and try and get a feel for it, then see if I can workout a way to reverse kegel without urinating.

& I liked the stretching idea as that was something I have also started this week.. Stretching and jelqs

Did you read the last sentence (in bold type)? Doing a “reverse kegel” by itself as an exercise is pointless. It won’t make your dick grow nor help with premature ejaculation or anything else.

The point of doing it is to help in two specific cases. One is during manual stretching exercises. Consciously relaxing it helps the manual stretching to be more effective (according to former member DLD). It can help prevent ejaculation (if you haven’t reached the point of no return) during sex or edging if you consciously try to prevent it from contracting just before orgasm.

Relaxing the bulbocavernosus muscle on purpose is all that a “reverse kegel” is. It’s not an exercise nor something you should try to do all day long.

This is contradictory to what I’ve read elsewhere.

I keep reading that premature ejaculation is caused by tight muscles and that reverse kegeling will relax these muscles thus alleviating it.

I just want some clarity because it would be nice if I could alleviate my hair trigger with just an exercise.

Hey everyone I hope you all read this. WestLA has no idea what he’s talking about. Holding reverse kegels along with doing regular kegels here and there have done wonders for my EQ. My penis has never been so hard. If you don’t believe me try it out but read up on doing them correctly so you arent tightening your abs much or ass muscles. WestLa is a moderator and doesnt want you to know about revers kegels. They are too easy and work too fast for their websites liking

I’m having trouble understanding reverse kegels as well. When I try to reverse kegel, I push out as if I’m forcing my pee out, but I’m not sure I’m doing it right as it feels like I’m using my abs muscles to push. Is it supposed to be like that? Any tips or pointers on doing it correctly?

Push like you are trying to pee/shit :) In the beginning, you will feel that the abs also pushes out. With time and relaxation you can relax the abs.

Reverse kegels have done wonders for premature ejaculation for me but dont overdo them.

This is a "reverse" kegel

This is how a “reverse” kegel works:

>Do several sets of non reverse kegels as many reps as possible and do them in long and short duration
>Drink a big glass of water (I mean a big glass ..not a small one)
>Drink another one
>Do more kegels (lots more) increase the reps, sets and duration
>Don’t stop drinking water you should always drink lots of water
>Keep increasing the kegel exercises
>Brew up a pot of tea
>Do more kegels while it’s steeping
>Have a cup of tea!
>Yes, keep doing the kegels!
>Don’t put that cup of tea down until its empty
>..when it is pour another cup
*** At this point you may want to stay near a toilet of keep a bucket nearby ***
>you should be getting pretty good with the kegels now and in the meantime you may feel like you have to pee but make sure you hold it!
>get another pot of tea going so when the one you drunk goes empty you got another one
…while you are at it it is a good idea to pound back a glass or two of cranberry juice or orange juice if no cranberry
>Keep drinking that tea!
>The kegels will soon start to come naturally at this point ..you wont even have to think!
>You may feel you need to pee by this time but don”t!
