How to: Actually Measure PROPERLY.

Hi, I’d like to say hello to everyone, my first post here, I hope to gain some inches, hence my name ;) .

I’d like to know how to measure the size of your unit properly, are you suppose to push against your Pubic bone as hard as possible? Because, the way I’ve been measuring it is; not pushing against my stomach at all, so can someone tell me the actual way..

Also, anyone here who has used an extender, what happens if you see a sexy girl and pop a boner? Can people see that theres something plastic in your pants, because that would just be plain embarrassing.

Pushing against pubic bone (bone pressed measurement) is more accurate way of measuring than non bone pressed. But I suggest that you measure both ways and keep track of your gains that way. When you measure bone pressed the fat pad cannot influence on your result, but non bone pressed measurement may vary if you gain or lose wieght.

I used an extender and it is hard to see it under pants but it is annoying to wear it.

If you are starting out I wouldn’t worry about an extender just yet. Try sticking to the newbie routine for a few months. I gained almost 3/4” in around 3 or 4 months and I still seem to be gaining on the newbie routine.


Pre-PE: BPEL 6.25" NBPEL 5.8" EG 5.75 " Now: BPEL 7" NBPEL 6.5" EG 5.95"

Final goal: BPEL 7.5" NBPEL 7" EG 6"

Good question. People have different ways for measuring. I do both BP and NBP.

But my question is, many people say you shouldn’t measure after jelqing since your penis is pumped, but if you measure after every jelq session, wouldn’t your measurments still reflect gains? In just over a month, my BPEL and NBEPL went from ~4.5 and ~3.8 (can’t remember my starting measurements) and are now ~4.75 and ~4.25 respectively. Do others measure both pre and post jelq?

Note: I am now paying more attention to how I measure to make sure I am measuring the same, but BP should always be consistent as it is bone pressed, as the name suggests.

I simply let the ruler touch my Pubic Bone.

I do not press it hard against it. It is more accurate to see your gains, but nevertheless is a “false” measurement because the penis only penetrates the vagina until the fat pad.

To measure BPEL use a rigid ruler. If you are right handed, while standing lay the ruler across the top of your erect penis with the left edge aligned with the center. Penis and ruler should both be straight out — perpendicular to your body. Muster the very best erection possible and push the ruler very hard into your pubic bone. Repeat a few times. Record the longest length you can get. You’ll do this every time you measure, so be honest but always record the longest measurement. Push the ruler in HARD every time.

You may also want to track measurements with the ruler oriented vertically so it can’t be pushed in “under” the pubic bone as the ligs develop slack.

BPFSL: With a flaccid penis, grasp right below the head using an underhand OK grip and stretch it out 90 degrees from your body, again pressing the ruler firmly into the pubic bone. Repeat a few times. Record the longest measurement.

Erect girth: I suggest measuring erect girth at the base, midshaft, and right behind the head. Use a tailor’s tape if available. Otherwise wrap a string around and mark where it crosses itself. Measure the distance between marks using a ruler.

What if you don’t have any fat pad?

I’ve zero fat down there…

I like to press SLIGHTLY but not real deep or hard when I measure length.

Is that good enough for accuracy?

You’ll get a more accurate measurement BPEL from the side of the penis. I use this method. I also on my measurement days I take them three time in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

I have to agree, the BPFSL measurement makes sense as the best way to tell changes in length. I don’t actually measure that way, but mainly because I have over a year of measurements doing it the old way :)

BPEL: Bone Pressed Erect Length, when the measuring device is pushed all the way to the pubic bone
NBPEL: Non Bone Pressed Erect Length, when measuring device touches fat pad only

I would disagree with that. Once you get balls deep you can definetly shove hard enough to move some of the fat pad out of the way. If your fatpad is probably .5 or less you can pretty well go in to your BPEL. If you or your spouse is overweight then, no, maybe not.

Hey, T3mpest!

I´m 5´7” and I weight about 140 lb! ;)

I´m thin and my fat pad is about 0.4”. When I say I do not press hard, I mean that simply do not press beyond the “beginning of the fat pad”. I simply measure (from the side of the penis) from the “beginning of the fat pad”, with the ruler leaned (not press hard) to the body. That way I have about 6.3” - 6.4” in length, but from the end of fat pad I have about 6”. To me this last measure is the one that counts to intercourse, and the other to assess length gains.
