Viagra/Cialis: Amazon Pharmacy

Gents, After an expensive mistake with HIMS, Amazon Pharmacy is the clear winner for ED meds over HIMS (and probably Roman, Lemonaid, and others).

You have to go through Amazon Clinic first (pay $32 to $35). Unlike HIMS, Amazon doesn’t force you into a subscription model. But they are sneaky in that the prescription is only good for two fills. So, you’ll still pay $35 in consult fees for every two fills, on top of the meds price.

Amazon
- 90 x 20 mg. Generic Viagra = 1,800 mg total
- $70 ($35 consult fee + $35 for first total 1,800 mg Viagra)
- With insurance: around $5 for meds
- 2 to 3 day delivery or pay extra $2.99 for same-day delivery
- No subscription necessary

HIMS
- 12 x 50 mg. Generic Viagra = 600 mg total
- $78 (consult fee + first shipment of 200 mg total Viagra)
- Doesn’t take insurance
- 1 week delivery
- Subscription model

Sorry about your experience!

Amazon pharmacy sounds like a cheaper version of GoodRX which is what I used to get cialis.
My consult + prescription was closer to $80 I think…
I also get 2 refills total. I got a 60 day supply (30 pills) per re-fill and then I need to re-do the consultation to get a new prescription.

The cialis was more expensive. To fill the entire order was close to $150 at my local pharmacy (Rite Aid), but I paid out of pocket because the insurance needs “prior authorization” and that was both going to take more time, and they only approve you for something like 3 or 5 pills… which is utter bullshit. So I paid out of pocket.

Since I’m not using it all the time, but only for specific “events”, it should last me a pretty long time.
I might have to go through Amazon pharmacy next time, or bite the bullet and talk to my actual doctor and see if I can get it on a continual basis, covered by insurance.

Until recently, HIMS, Roman, etc. would have been the way to go. I only became aware of Amazon Pharmacy recently. Yes, an actual doctor + insurance + local pharmacy is the true winner. I mean to do this next time I visit my doctor.

Like you say, it’s event-based anyway. Even my four HIMS pills should be enough for sex 4x per month.

I’d just go see my GP, use the good RX coupon, super cheap. My generic Cialis is like $10 for a two months supply at Costco.

Good rx for 20mg generic Viagra x30 pills is$9.50 in my area.

Or have script sent to Amazon?

Start (8/30/21): 6.5"BPEL X 5.25" MSEG

Now (12/5/22): 8.75" BPEL X 5.75" MSEG

Goal 9.5"BPEL X 7" MSEG My Journey

You can check Amazon prices here. But your prices are already so low, I doubt you would save anything.

My doc gave me a choice of sildenafil or taladafil; I went with taladafil (Cialis). Even my crappy insurance covers it, though it might be because of my age, which will be 64 Real Soon Now.

Amazon Pharmacy (and HIMS, etc.) are good stop-gap solutions. My next real doctor appointment is a ways off. In this current climate, you can’t seem to get appointments with anyone, even an HVAC repair guy, in less than 3 or 4 months. At least where I live. Getting earlier doctor’s appointments is next to impossible.

It’s easy to have the real doc send a script to Amazon. I might do that in the future, just to save one more trip to the store.

Holy shit, it’s ridiculous! I deal with the same exact thing myself.
I tried to schedule my yearly spot check with my dermatologist 3 months ago for October and the earliest I found was end of January!

Viagra received. The first name of Amazon’s prescribing pharmacist—I kid you not—is Phuc.
